  1. This game will be played next month and squeezed into the fixture somehow. The main concern is getting Essendon up and running to play next weeks game against Carlton, otherwise I fear itโ€™s season over.
  2. Needs a good run at it, has footy smarts but he has the body of a first year skinny kid.
  3. Unless they play this game mid week the season is dead
  4. The game may be played Wednesday if all other Essendon players test clear, otherwise I can see the season progressing
  5. I heard it has been called off
  6. What I donโ€™t get about this coaching department is that they kinda select the forward line in hope. TMac has been in horrible form for a year and thereโ€™s no sign he is going to magically snap out if it, yet he is picked as our key forward post. Jackson is a raw skinny kid who isnโ€™t ready yet. They have guys who are very good marks and kicks for goal in J. Smith and Harmes Playing in the back line. Is it time to try a few things like swap TMac with May and bring one of Harmes or Smith forward.. We wasted a whole year last year playing Fritsch out of position, and we shouldnโ€™t waste another one living in hope.
  7. 6.Oliver 5. Petracca 4. Gawn 3. Salem 2 Rivers 1 Langdon
  8. I dont think Hunt will be dropped being one of our only effective forwards
  9. Out TMac, Jackson, Jones. In Weideman , Pickett Hibberd. Hibberd to go back and Smith to go forward. Jetta has also been pretty shaky the last few games and is close to getting dropped for mine. So Jetta for Lockhart Is another possible change.
  10. How bad are Melbourne really? Absolutely pathetic!
  11. We still canโ€™t find a tall forward. Tmac still canโ€™t mark the ball, and Jackson is too raw. Thank god for Petracca and Oliver
  12. Petracca and Oliver are absolute beasts
  13. His stupidity has cost him a place along side uncle Nev for his big milestone game.
  14. Jordan as an emergency is also very interesting. He must be training really well
  15. I think our defense had been ok and our mids have been ok. I just hope we used this time to sort out the connect with the forward line, as that, I believe ,was the main issue holding us back.
  16. Having guys like Salem back in and with Bennell and Rivers strengths as kicking, our forward line delivery should be improved.
  17. Luke Jackson gives us everything Weideman can give and more because he is also a genuine ruck man.
  18. Fritsch, TMac , Weideman, Melksham, Jones, Brown, Pickett etc.. are all capable of kicking goals if we get it in their hands.
  19. One thing. We have to fix the disconnect between our midfield and our forward line.
  20. Teams keep getting us on the outside. We now have wingers but they canโ€™t kick. We get our hands on the ball a lot but turn it over with blind handballs. We hardly ever kick it to a leading forward and mostly bomb it in , giving the opposition the best chance to defend. Until we fix this up We wonโ€™t improve. Never seen a team work so hard to get the ball and then just waste it time and time again.
  21. Pencilled that in as a loss anyway. Always next week.........wait
  22. Forward of centre we are deplorable , continue to bomb it on. Pathetic pressure and tackling too. Very disappointing.
  23. I watched both preseason games closely and our skills looked really good. Maybe itโ€™s just the pressure of playing front if the parochial west coast crowd. Oh wait.......
  24. What is that terrible elevator music they are playing between goals and ball ups?
