Yes it is a reality check, but im sure the boys will be very disappointed, and want to atone for it by training their butts off,and beating the saints round one. -

Mahoney said early signs were positive. If itwas really bad, he wouldnt uave even been considered to play hawks, yet he was named. Im hoping for round three or four.

C & D Grade Players who becomes Consistent!
DeeZee replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Blease and Bail will survive out of that crew.maybe nicholson will be reinvented. With cross, Michie, vince and tyson in the side the others have to show something special which i dont think they have. Strauss is a good kick but poor defender. Nicholson a poor kick. Jetta just goes alright but not good enough. Evans is a good depth player There looks like more x factor in the new bunch of kids , like , Hunt ,Harmes, Salem JKH and King. I think georgiou has already shown up strauss. I could be wrong and would love to give these guys this year and the benefit of doubt to prove themselves under a new coach. -
Watts consistently takes good pack marks.
-
Disagree here i think it will be a close one.

Jack Watts ready to step up under Melbourne Demons coach Paul Roos
DeeZee replied to baysidedave's topic in Melbourne Demons
You miss the point. Most players on our list, have deficiencies, what im saying is that even though you or i believe Robbie was perfect, there are others on this site that would find fault in almost anyone if they look hard enough, like the Watts debate, they cant see the forest from the trees,he has great skill, speed and marking ability ,and is working on other aspects if his game like tackling. In Roos game plan he is mot meant to be the in and under, he is the go to man who delivers with precision. Not as simple as argument fail im afraid Beezlebub. -

There are some on here that would have even criticised Robbie flower for not tackling enough ....fact is it takes all sorts to make a team. The tough in and unders, the big forwards, the zippy rovers and goal sneaks and the runners and skillfull go to players. Its the balance as a team that counts, all players have strong and weak areas in their games. It takes a good coach to gel the team, and bring the best out of his players. -
Greg Wells was pretty good
