  1. Belzebub, how is it different? It's a completely different draft. We're talking this years draft in 2009 for MFC picks and next years in 2010 for GC's. Swallow is 16yrs old and not eligible for this year draft. Nor will he be able to play in the AFL next year, Scully and Trengove are able to. The new GC17 club hasn't got the infrastructure, nor the development and structure in place to compare with the MFC. We're comparing a club that has a history of over 150 years with one which has around for 150 days. The GC need all the help they can in developing and promoting the game in Qld, and if picking a 16yr old kid to spend 12mths ahead is going to be seen as favoritism, them get used to seeing a lot more for the GC and GWS. Why don't the AFL, just hand over the 2014 premiership cup to the GCFC now? might speed up development.
  2. great stuff, i'd diffinately buy some of them item. Wouldn't mind a couple of the Tee... Maybe you could add, in the hat section. A baseball cap with MFC on the front, like the new york yankees caps.
  3. For some time now , i've had a funny feeling about 2012..
  4. If Ball dosen't come to MFC, then MFC will pay out 1 or 2 contracts to reach the minimum salary cap.
  5. He seem to play accountable footy, would be happy if MFC recruited him. depending on his set shot? can't see any reson why he couldn't become a good KPF.
  6. When Green is able to go on the veterans list, Mcdonald will retire.
  7. I personally think, we could just about lock in Scully and Trengove now..
  8. what do you think is better in this years draft, at pick 50?
  9. There seems to be more hype about Trengove, than Scully....
  10. Maybe MFC could pay them out, instead of front loading players salary's? could be another way of taking MFC salary cap to 92.5%?
  11. GC17 have the first 5 rookie picks, maybe MFC could take a punt and draft him in the ND? pick 34 or 50? By the sounds of it, he may be worth the risk.
  12. 1 St Kilda 2 Bulldogs 3 Geelong 4 Adelaide 5 MELBOURNE 6 Brisbane 7 Collingwood 8 Hawthorne 9 Essendon 10 West Coast 11 Sydney 12 Carlton 13 Richmond 14 Fremantle 15 Port Adelaide 16 North Melbourne
  13. Collingwood have had lots of success since 1958, depends on how you measure success? They have played in 11 losing Grand Finals and 1 premiership. When looking back, they have been in at least 1 grand final every decade. If MFC had done this, there would be more supporters/members. North melbourne were the 90's team of the decade. (they have won 4 premierships since 1958). the saints have been in the finals for the last couple of years, and this year made the grand final. Every club has fair weather supporters.. when MFC have success, they will have lots of hungry supporters...
  14. Mark Jamar will be blow people away, in 2010. By the time the year is over, he might be considered in the top 5 ruckmen in the league.
  15. It would be a great story, if MFC drafted Dylan Grimes. But maybe the picks are to high? to grab him. If he made it to the rookie draft then, he'd have to be a definate pick up for MFC.
  16. In the life of a clubs supporter, it's easy to get connected to your clubs players. I'm sadden to here of the delisting of buckley, and the possible delisting of Bartrum. Both players will become good elsewhere, if picked up. I understand that space is needed to be made on the list. But there are players on that list, that i personally would have moved before them.
  17. Isn't Trengove the player from SA, that broke Scully's nose in the u18 champs?
  18. Agree, if he go's in the national draft, then he isn't coming to MFC.
  19. I argee, if Ball nominates for the national draft, than i don't want him ether.
  20. Luke Ball nominated to be traded to collingwood...... Luke coming to MFC will depend more on his desire to leave the saints, than any desire he has to play for the MFC. Hopefully MFC can convince him to move, would love to see him in red and blue...
  21. Garry Lyon Todd Viney David Schwartz Aaron Davey Liam Jurrah Tom Scully Jack Viney I may have got a little excited with my progression of favorites list.
  22. I don't think MFC drafting will change, there's to long in between the drafts. Ball could resign with the saints in that time.
  23. Will Ball resign with the Saints or go in the psd? Luke Ball, number 2 pick in the 2001 national draft. Come on Dees, get him to the club.
  24. Richmond have delisted him for a reason, might be a risk. wouldn't mind him if he is fit and healthy, other wise it's a no from me.
  25. check out footy message board, it's on there.
