I get the club loves the exposure of night games on TV and for years we cried out about being shunted to the Sunday twilight slot but so many night games in a season is really difficult for the elderly or young kids, especially Saturday night games when they have junior footy the next morning. With parking at the G much more limited these days too or the gates closed for ages after the game before you can even leave it's harder getting to and from the ground as well.

Nah, not this year. We play them in NT 😂
-
Wonder why 🤔
-
No way 😲
-
Rubbish, if Kozzie got a week Newman should too. Left the ground and collected ANB in the head with his elbow.
-
Once Cerra got subbed out we started to get on top.
-
The goals at the start of the 3rd (Curnow) and the 4th (Hewett) along with the misses of Fritsch, Petty, Koz and Chandler and the non goal from the sling tackle free against JVR - all were just as costly as the 1st quarter.

Nuffies
-
We did alright against Crows 😉

They look stuffed, 5 day breaks are a joke
-
Petty, Fritsch, Kozzie form chocolates to boiled lollies in 5 days
-
Our forwards have been smashed. If it's not given to them on a platter they just give it up and out it comes.

This kid is a star in the making, has the talent, composure and aggression of a seasoned veteran after only a handful of games. I love him. Another win for JT.

Those in the media are rightfully potted because of their role in covering what is the greatest sport on the planet terribly. You can avoid them to an extent but not when you are watching the game/replay, not at half time, not when people bring some of their comments to your attention etc The medias role should be to make the intricacies of the game easily digestible for those in the outer but they decided some time ago we were too dumb for that or at least most of us are. So they ignore that and elect to go for the over the top personalities, the shock jock controversial calls that drive the 24 hours news cycle and the tabloids journalism of players personal lives rather than dissecting the evolving nature of the game from a tactical/strategic perspective and holding the AFL to account for the many egregious and downright terrible decisions they make as governors of the sport and the league. As fans/supporters we expect/demand more just as we do if our governments. They let us down and it is up to us to point that out/demand more when it happens.

He is a lecherous drunk with a flimsy grasp of the finer aspects of the English language who also loves a dart, a punt, a pie and select four letters words. He is the embodiment of how NewsCorp view their audience which is why they refer to him as the man of the people or something along those lines. I mean seriously, he is the chief football writer for the paper and his columns would receive an "F" for grammar in a middle school English essay.

And you can guarantee some over officious umpire will pull one out at a critical moment late in the season or in finals. It already happened in the Blues/Freo game and that was paid a free kick not even a mere 50m penalty. They just make a rod for their own backs having a rule on the books that is rarely paid and then when it is causes confusion about how that incident differs from the hundreds of others throughout the year. The AFL is run by a group of bogan spivs dressed up as corporate geniuses. Most of them only really have money/connections due to their leeching off the game with the exception of the former CEO who came from the landed gentry of SA.

I was screaming at the tv "what happened to dissent??" every time.

People are potting him because he is a blowhard who rarely has a good thing to say about Melbourne. He pontificates as if he is the Word on everything football but reality is he lost touch with the modern game two decades ago. He knows about forward craft and belting into blokes but modern tactics confuse him. Yeah if Geelong kicked straight they may have pinched it but if we kicked straight we would've won by 5 goals. It's lazy "analysis" and just more hot air from a boofhead who is only given a paid gig based on past glories rather than any real aptitude for the role.

Just on Viney he looked dead early in the 2nd and within 10 seconds was up and running it off. He is not human.
-
Seriously he is a f l o g Maybe they were sick again?
-
Petty marked everything that came near him but Roo seemed to be doing the same early. He faded and had a couple of moments he'd like back but if he can mature into the player we think he will and Petty sticks around they can be a pretty formidable duo with Fritsch, Koz, Chandler and McAdam when he debuts around them

Has a bit of mongrel too, doesn't take a backwards step or mind giving some lip back to the opposition.

And was being held/scragged at every ruck and marking contest. And copped a knee to the head. Never mind, he just shrugs it off and keeps going, if he's not the best ruck of all time he goes very bloody close. Only Dean Cox, Simon Madden and Big Jimmy are on his level in my time watching I reckon.

I didn't see it did he seriously say "the Cats kicked themselves out of it"? He is absolutely delusional, the fact Melbourne is a great, consistent side has shattered his reality and he is scrambling to grab onto something to help make it make sense.
