  1. Yep I believe so
  2. Cost them the minor premiership and possibly the premiership too. Great day at the footy, the only time I went to Vic Park for a real game (saw a praccy there once).

Find a way to tank for a priority pick so we can get both?
  4. He is in the San Diego (now LA) Chargers hall of fame as a punter. Paved the way for the likes of Sav Rocca (Philly Eagles) and Ben Graham (NY Jets).

Love both those albums, Endtroducing could play on repeat for hours

I love Salem but I think relying on him to play a critical role moving forward is fraught with danger.
  7. My favourite Demon of all time, nothing excited me more than going to the footy to watch Jako. The Wiz the only other one in the same league.
  8. They need to just scrap ALL academies, they are a hindrance to a fair and equitable competition.
  9. Oh FFS spare me, are they for real?
  10. It's mornings like this I'm glad I live in the northwest suburbs 🤣
  11. What a turnaround from 24 years ago.
  12. Kolt was very good again, providing an option and banging the ball forward at all costs in the slippery conditions. Rained pretty heavily just before the first bounce and for parts of the first and 2nd quarters. A bit of rain in the 2nd half but not as heavy.
  13. It was a great team performance and great coaching, but Petty was terrible. I don't think that's a controversial take. He was mosntered in the 1st quarter and only when JVR went to 1st ruck in 2nd quarter did we start to really get on top in the middle. Even then Petty didn't offer much as a forward target, rarely winning or halving the contest and letting his opponent win the ball. He had 3 kicks and 3 handballs. The team were very impressive and I've praised them in multiple posts, it's ok to be critical as well if other parts of the game which weren't as good, especially when it is not a one off and it is not just being negative for negatives sake. It's part of the discussion.
  14. https://discourse.bomberblitz.com/t/review-vs-dees/32912 That website is horrendous but the schadenfreude is worth 5-10 minutes of scrolling
  15. Great to get a win for Kozzie's 100th and glad he was able to hit the scoreboard. He had really gained some consistency this year which is due to him spending more time in the middle. He doesn't need to be the matchwinner every week, just needs to play his role and then take the chances when they come like the last 2 weeks. Crazy to think he's still only 22/23.
  16. He's too weak in the contest, really struggles to hold his ground and at least break even in 1:1s. If he gets a good run at the footy he's good but even then his marking isn't elite. Needs to at least halve the contest around the ground but is ineffectual way too often and looks to the umpire for frees when he has just been outmuscled.
  17. "Who was that to??"
  18. Carlton lost as well 😍
  19. He is a seriously underrated coach and not just by Melbourne supporters.
  20. Round 24 as well please
  21. The umpiring is an absolute joke, they did what they could to get the Bombers back in it - I don't think they favour teams, they just get caught up with the crowd/momentum and err on the side of the team making the comeback.
  22. I had a great feeling about this one coming in but didn't want to mozz it. Even without Gawn our pressure game has really lifted the last couple of weeks and playing the kids instead of NQR journeyman has given the team a real shot of energy/enthusiasm. Plus Essendon are flakey, they crumble under pressure. Dunno how we'll go for the rest of the year but if we keep getting games into the kids, keep giving midfield minutes to Riv and Koz and keep giving Roo more time up forward with Melksham and Fritsch I think we are in decent shape moving forward.
  23. Essendon are pretenders, their gameplan will not hold up in finals. Unbelievable run so far, still beat no-one other than the Giants when they were in a massive form slump.
  24. Let's [censored] go!! Always good to beat that smarmy pack of scumbags especially when they would've gone outright 2nd. Umps tried to get them back in the game, bloody disgraceful. Real team effort with exception of one player who must get dropped next week.
