  1. Yep so many broken tackles ☚ī¸
  2. 100%. We got shown up early, put the foot down for a bit at the start of the 2nd to kick 4 in a row and go a couple up and thought we'd done enough. It's frustrating because you'd think seasoned players would realise you need to step on the opposition's throat until any resistance is snuffed out otherwise you leave yourself open. Credit to Essendon they came to play and came to play 4 quarters. They ran harder, outworked, outsmarted and out toughed us. 2nd wake up call in a month hopefully it's the last one we need 🤔
  3. It comes down to effort. Essendon brought it and we looked like we turned up expecting a regulation win. If we bring effort we'll beat most teams.
  4. Viney tried but he was a lone hand.
  5. Viney 1 Everyone else 0
  6. I thought Petty started in defence
  7. Yep we've played behind all game which is inexcusable but especially in the wet. Lol Essendon can't do anything wrong atm, best game they'll play all year.
  8. That was embarrassing for May.
  9. Bombers have played extremely well, working hard to clog up our forward line and then pushing hard the other way when they win possession. We haven't gone with them and made it easy with the slow ball movement. It happens, let's see the response.
  10. And if we play him people have a go for playing underdone players and not resting them. Can't win.
  11. Bombers have been hungrier.
  12. And he has history so no benefit of the doubt from the umps.
  13. That was the first game I took my oldest son to. An inauspicious debut.
  14. You bring Sexton on with fresh legs and leave him in the forward pocket where the ball isn't getting to. Put him around the footy Dew you nuffie! We sure lucked out with the Swans blocking him from coming to the Demons.
  15. Worse than the Cleveland Browns
  16. Game on?
  17. Suns have run out of legs. Had the opportunity to put the knife in when they were up by 4 goals in the 3rd and let the Dockers off with poor goalkicking.
  18. That was straight from the Matty Lloyd diving school 😡
  19. I disagree hate can be healthy eg I hate murderers, pedos etc - probably even more than I hate Essendon đŸ¤Ŗ
  20. Why bother loving the Demons? You'll just suffer every time they lose? It's the joy of sport, hating, loving, suffering, happiness all on something that is utterly meaningless in the scheme of things.
  21. Yes but not always a preferred option for those who are elderly, disabled or have young kids - especially for night games.
  22. Not sure if this is already well known or not but I just saw this on Facebook - from round 7 you must pre-book a parking spot if you intend to park in the MCG car park. There will be no more option to drive up and pay at the gate. On first impression it seems annoying (particularly if booking fees are added on) on the other hand it might be good knowing you won't get up to the gate only for the "Car Park Full" sign to go up meaning you have to try and find another park with the game starting in half an hour. https://www.mcg.org.au/parking A NEW WAY TO PARK IN YARRA PARK From Round 7 of the 2023 AFL season, parking in Yarra Park will be pre-booked only. Patrons will need to purchase a ticket in advance via the link below to secure a parking spot in Yarra Park. Parking is subject to classification of MCG event (no parking available for marquee matches), capacity, weather conditions and the ongoing management of Yarra Park. To pre-book parking in Yarra Park, click here.
