  1. Think he meant Smith and I tend to agree. The only thing more surprising to me than Smith still being on the senior list is people thinking he can play key forward. TMac will come in and if not him, Brown.
  2. His desperation is fantastic
  3. Should crack 90k with Melbourne members filling MCC and Collingwood members filling AFL. Would be great to see, I don't think we have had a 90k+ H&A crowd since QB 1958
  4. Its the opposite of what we usually get - often we get a glut of MCG games in the first half of the year followed by half a dozen road trips in the 2nd half of the year. After we play Port next week we have 10 Vic games (8 MCG, 1 Docklands, 1 Geelong) and 3 interstate games (1 NT, 1 Tas, 1 Syd) for the remainder of the year. I know what I'd rather have and I gather the FD would agree.
  5. Do you actually think that will happen though? The AFL will just forget about this like they do every other contentious decision when it suits. If this were September does anyone really think it gets to this point? The AFL is the Absolute Farce League.
  6. Exactly - where was the comments about Richmond supporters falling off the bandwagon when they only get 28k vs WCE?
  7. Is it because the commentators are sitting in a studio in Melbourne and it is too hard for them to identify players on a wide angle shot? The only explanation I can think of.
  8. And first crack although King can be annoying at times. At least they try and take an analytic approach to reviewing the games.
  9. The future of the game is on trial tonight. Let's see which way they go.
  10. That determination is completely idiotic, the AFL has jumped the shark
  11. May as well just put bibs on now and make it touch footy
  12. The AFL is [censored] what a joke
  13. You can't tell players to go at less than 100%. It's a tough game, players will get hurt - it's unavoidable.
  14. What would you have had JVR do? He's allowed to contest the ball.
  15. And distinguish between a football and non-football action. If the charge is "striking" surely it's a pretty quick tribunal hearing before it's thrown out.
  16. 100% - if Smith was KO'd Kozzie would've got 4-6 weeks easy.
  17. That was 9 years ago!
  18. So every time someone attempts to spoil now and glances someone in the head they'll be suspended? FMD, MFC must appeal
  19. True, we actually did this against the Suns a few years back didn't we, TMac hitting the post with seconds remaining.
  20. Yeah, but 8 teams travel every 2nd week all year every year. I can understand maybe off short breaks but we had a week between games and our last game was a glorified training run.
  21. Harmes in the last quarter missed a relatively easy goal from 40 too.
  22. Well I was one who was pushing for Petty to go forward but I think it's time to put the experiment to rest. He hasn't really had a great impact, not hitting the scoreboard enough, not taking enough marks and it's weakened our backline. Was good to try out but I think Petty back to defense and Brown coming in needs to happen this week so Petty can regain some synergy with the backline before taking on Port. It's a good trick to have up our sleeve if required but he should be played primarily in defense.
  23. Honestly I can't believe the absolute muppets on other boards (BigFooty) and social media claiming the Suns were robbed by the umps last night. Watching the game I thought we were getting a raw deal and got a couple back at the end. Suns were unlucky with a couple but seriously they wouldn't have been close if the umps didn't gift them a bunch of goals in the 3rd. I feel like I'm not one-eyed either, last week I thought we were looked after by the umps, North were pretty hard done by (not that it would have made a difference). I thought we were lucky not to get the whistle blown against us a couple of times in the final quarter last night but for the first 3 quarters we were pretty bloody stiff.
