  1. Let's face it, if they'd had some merch & membership tables and enough food & coffee, it might not have mattered so much that the training was late. And is anybody else a tad perturbed that the admin dept doesn't seem to have even a rough idea of what goes on at a training session, and the fact that there's an hour or so of prep beforehand?
  2. Yep, and it would be good to do it on a public holiday. Especially on the Monday of a long weekend. ... before the season actually starts. ... at a time of year when the weather is likely to be good. ... after there's been a special event on in the CBD. ...
  3. Again, by the law of averages, he should now have at least 8 seasons completely injury-free!!
  4. Close to the mark as usual, Joeboy. Straight back into the groove.
  5. Agree. Funny tho' how Freo play 3 big forwards and it comes off for them, while we do the same and look top-heavy & lacking in forward pressure, having taken only one F50 mark in a half. That's the risk, but worth a try in NAB Cup. Suppose it's different when one of the 3 is Pav!
  6. Best concert ever was Jan 1976, the Eagles at Festival Hall, which STARTED at midnight. One of their first few with Joe Walsh.
  7. Interesting post, especially the bolded paragraph. Underplaying the intraclub can be seen as a "fail", but was it really was a stuff-up by the club? Is there another explanation, such as a commitment made previously that they weren't enthusiastic about but didn't want to break. It's so unlike PJ to stuff up something like this, especially as it involves not thinking of fans. If it was a stuff-up, it's such an apprentice-level error that it doesn't sit well with someone of PJ's quality. So is there another explanation?
  8. Was wondering how someone would manage to turn this against him. There's surely more to come.
  9. I'm pretty sure Dawes had a bad injury at the base of his thumb in his last year ar Collingwood. And that it was by no means certain that this injury would fully recover.
  10. Totally agree RGRS.
  11. If what you're holding is powder, maybe you should relax your grip just a tad.
  12. Warnie might've said that too!
  13. Exactly what Moses said at the Red Sea when he saw the Egyptians coming. His direct no-nonsense straight-up-the-middle tactics that day parted the waters & the opposition was swamped.
  14. Was impressive how he beat The Flood with his "ark" play.
  15. My favourite sentence ..."The Cats remain optimistic regarding his fitness, with the latest setback not expected to drag on." No, I'm sure it'll be fine. Really.
  16. Never been a more clear cut need for a slight shortening of username ... Keep the avatar tho'
  17. Newsflash! Poster on D'land shows self-indulgence!
  18. Carnivorous fuchsia, a la "Little Shop of Horrors"??
  19. Of course! I forgot about that. He might have been able to push T-Mac if he was fit.
  20. he's certainly got the perfect disguise ...
  21. Yep, that's a reflex we're all going to have to learn to suppress!
