  1. We must go as hard as GWS did for Scott Pendlebury next year.. We NEED to land a big fish.
  2. Okay. I need to know something... Do we get 5 years to use our draft picks??? Cause obviously we are going to lose our first round pick for Jack Viney next year and it's regarded as a strong draft. Where as this year is regarded as a weak draft. Someone please help
  3. In relation to learning more then the average 17 year old. Liam has to learn the god dam English language and is also a elder in a tribe that is in disarray oh and his home is over 2000kms away not 25mins down citylink. Game structures, positioning ect is something that might take longer then the average 3rd year player. He also averages more tackles then Morton, Watts and Martin... I'm sure there are a few more if I want to dig deeper too. To kick 4 for a break even game. Pull your head in.. Tony Lockett only averaged 4.8 a game. I think Liam is doing more then enough with the amount of inside 50s we get as a team. The one area I think he has fallen away in is his accuracy.
  4. Give it a rest mate he's not the only one who is soft at our club. Rudeboy is giving us information that no one is privy to.. He's learning a lot more then the average 17 year old is learning. Go play football in the bush and your toughness would get you no where. He kicked 40 goals. His job is to kick goals and to continually learn which he is doing. When was the last time a player at Melbourne kicked 81 goals in 35 games? Every game bar 3 he a kicked a goal.
  5. What has happened to jurrah?
  6. Fickle Melbourne supporters..... Our supporters epitomize our playing group
  7. Yes with a freshly shaved pill
  8. Nooooooo!!! Can someone please show me a player he has developed over his time? These are the players he has failed over his time. They are all first rounders Ray - Traded, then improved at St Kilda Williams - No way Higgins - if people think he has then don't go bagging Colin Sylvia cause he's a poor mans version of Colin Everett - Traded and still struggling but had already done more at the swan then he did at the dogs Grant - No. Completely unsure what's going on there... The only 2 that have reached there junior potential is Cooney and Griffen. In saying that Cooney is finished due to poor management with his knee. Where as Griffen well I've seen better kicks in the under 14s Gee our future looks bright with our kids if we get him.... Neeld is our man. He's been in control of Thomas, Pendlebury and Beams over the last couple of years and look how they are developing...
  9. Would be a VERY bad choice for Melbourne to go down the Rodney Eade line. He's finished.. As I've said on a previous thread I had a mate that played under Rocket and he said he's very hard to communicate to.. Who has he drafted that has for filled his potential? Cooney - Maybe but his career is nearly finished due to mis management Farren Ray - Nope Tom Williams - Nope Ryan Griffen - Yes although he hasn't improved his kicking Shaun Higgins - Poor mans Colin Syliva Anjres Everett - Nope Jarred Grant - Nope Acye Cordy, Christan Howard, Mitch Wallis. All to young to tell but the first 2 haven't showed much! ***all first round draft picks*** What will he do with our kids? Seriously... My point is that he can't develop players. He continually re drafted players where other teams had done the work. He had the most talented list for about 3 years but couldn't teach them how to win important games (sounds like Neal Daniher to me) Teams like St Kilda beat them on the fact that they were technically better.
  10. The amount of carrying on I've heard on here regarding a $100 is a joke. The club is trying to lift itself up to be a powerhouse again and we just sook.. No wonder our players are soft it's in our culture. It's time to harden up and make a difference It's easy pay it or don't, don't be selfish enough to air your displeasure on it and discouraging others to donate. I say go for it you can. Importantly if you don't have a spare $100 don't. They aren't asking you to give your last pennies up. The club is trying it's hardest to raise money from as many different places they can. If you have a better idea email the club ([email protected]) or even better give them a call (03 9652 1111)
  11. +1 Eade is a muppet of the first degree.. Unapproachable, boring and hasn't ever been involved in the highest success. I don't just want to play finals I want to win it. He hasn't left the bulldogs in the best shape. He's only a fraction better then Neale Daniher if you look at it. Continually bringing in recycled players to try and grab a flag. Not the greatest developers in the game. Will lose a member if we take him.
  12. I will be donating a $100 too. I love the club and if blokes like Trenners does too then I owe him money that I will just drink at the local this weekend
  13. A massive NO just doesn't send the right message to our kids.
  14. Yuk.. No way. Why do we have to take a punt on him. Let someone else deal with his baggage. For 2 years of football he's not worth paying him 1 dollar a year
  15. Pagan? No thanks... Been out of the game too long and was disgusting at Carlton in his last years. Wouldnt mind Laidley to help but not senior
  16. Don't know if a topic has been started about Mark Neeld if it has I'm sorry but I really hope our club has a chat to him. He has been at the most successful club both on and off field of at least 4 years now. In many ways he has brought in some of the things that have taken the pies to a new level. He gets glowing endorsements from Mick and also Collingwood players. Which I think could help us getting an A grade midfielder in the name of Scott Pendlebury. Please read. http://www.heraldsun...f-1226114058203 Fanasty land maybe... This is what worries me I think I have heard that he's interested in the Adelaide job. Why not ours? Have we put out the wrong message by saying we only want proven coaches. I don't want another Dean Bailey and I understand the need for an experienced coach but if we get Rodney Eade I'm outta here... His club at the moment don't understand how to either DO the press or BEAT the press. He has always struggled to win a big final and that's not because he hasn't had the cattle because he has, he's had some champions of the game. Also I look at his assistans and I think he builds a weak team behind him because he likes to be the strong front man with a lot of say. Also had a mate that played under him at the doggies and said it's a boys club. Once your in your in it's hard for you to get out. If your out then he hardly EVER talks to you. Didn't even tell him he was delisted. A assistant coach did. Don't ask me who my mate is, he was on the primary list for 4 years and hated the last 3 because of him. 2 questions. Would you like Mark Neeld? Would you disappointed with Rodney Eade?
  17. Does he have Football Director in mind....? Very crazy I know very crazy but.. Didn't Neil Craig want to start working again but the crows said no you need a holiday. I think a club that gets him helping out the football department could do a lot worse he seems to be a very good communicator and well respected by the players. Perhaps he was too stubborn.
  18. Free agency is going to bury Melbourne once and for all. What player will what to play for a club like us? I really think this will set the football club back a long time. The board needed to get rid of all the problems and it sounds like CS and CC are problems. Very scared about our future.
  19. Saying that we will get more then likely get stung on the Scully compensation picks. Our club is a rabble.
  20. Some interesting tweets. They are wondering if Dean Bailey will spill the beans whether we tanked 08/09. Could open a can of worms
  21. By no means do I want him to coach or be involved in football decisions but I look at Jason Dunstall and I think Garry would be a great fit for our club in the same role. He's always been connected to the club why can't he just say okay I'll give it a shot for 4-5 and see if I can do something for my struggling club. If presidents can be in the media then I think we can find a role for Garry. Also him saying things like he did yesterday about the club could be some of the issues at board level. They could be getting sick of him saying his piece about the club when he doesn't have any official role there. Some could be thinking put up or shut up because after all they are the ones putting there heads on the chopping block.
  22. I want Mark Neeld from collingwood. He's been earmarked as a senior coach for some time now. He's been involved with a successful team and is highly endorsed by Mick Malthouse. Would be happy with Brenton Sanderson or Brenton McCarthy too.. We need someone that has been involved at a successful club for a while. Not just a flash in the pan like Viney would I think one day will be a good coach but at the moment still has a lot to learn.
  23. Spot on. We have been soft in these types of decisions since Northey..
  24. Look I love the club but why are we always the basket case? Can't attract players. Starting to look like we are going to struggle to keep players. It's time for Lyon to take the club by the scruff of the neck like he used to in his playing days and help Jimmy out. Also what's Neita doing? We need strong leaders that love the club to make a stand and symbolize what our club stands for because I'm starting to forget what we stand for besides the fact we are the oldest club. Whoopty F@&KING do.
  25. Can anyone answer me what Schwab has done wrong? I don't understand isn't it his job to run the off field side of the club and by the looks of it he has hit his targets? Would love some insight to what is apparently going on?
