Look yes we got shafted because we prob didnt run things too great back then but i think things have improved. I'm sure we have alot of players on our list that are drafted outside of Vic. Why aren't we scared that Bennell wants to go home? Also as i said. maybe i didnt explain it properly but i think more young kids will find themselves out of there home states with the way the WAFL and SANFL is recently being compared to the TAC cup and the new teams coming in. Great call back the club. Too many Melbourne supporter don't get behind the club at times myself inclued but now I'm older understand a bit more and I see that we seem to have a plan on a off field to get some SUSTAINED success. The last time we took a player best suited for the teams "balance" was Luke Molan at 9 or something gee that was a success. Yeah I agree but I think nowa teams will be drafting more players out of the WAFL and SANFL beacuse they seem to be ready made. I dont know the stats but I think in last years draft there were ALOT of WA players drafted (maybe even more then the TAC) compared to other years and seeing their performance in the championships this year (not losing a game) I think more and more will get selected. Even more so that there are 2 new teams coming in the next 5 years. When they actually start playingthey will want ready made teenages cause they want and need instant success to get some support and credibility.

why waste a number 2 pick on a croweater, they want to make sure he wants to live in victoria for the next 12yrs,thats a big ask, scott thompsons in the best 25 players in the competition now, who did we get for him, theres no way we won there,its a big risk but your seem willing to take it. Because he is the 2nd best player in the draft... some say he is closing the gap on Tom Scully and the same reason we took Cale Morton at 4. Not many players get home sick if you have a look at the bigger picture. i think with pick 18 we should take Panos to make him feel better about the situation

I would love Panos at pick 18 but I think with Tippet perhaps getting some juciy offers off the gold cost boys, I'm worry that late in the fisrt round the crows could nab Panos. Is this the feeling over in Adelaide? or can someone shed some light on who they think they might take. cause i know they like taking there own SA boys Even if they are confident they will keep Tippet does anyone think they will go after Panos to give him (Tippet) a chop out at times? or am I hoping that they have this under control with Taylor Walker?

Couldn't agree more we have been the whipping boys of the AFL for as long as I can remember with getting Sunday games year in year out, not helping us with major sponsorship deals like they did with the Mission and Luxbet Deals ect... This is our chance to get something off the AFL. If we don’t I think we have blown a big chance to get something all our fans have been hanging for for the last 25years an A GRADE Midfielder someone who we can "hopefully" say in 3-5 years might be in the top 5 players in the AFL. Something I’ve never been able to say.
