  1. the whole idea of the dome membership would be just to give that MFC/MCC membership more appeal which it currently lacks, alot of people dont see a point in buying it,myself included, the club is just relying on the real faithful buying one it would only be for games at the dome, which mcc members rarely go to, ive got a north/mcc mate this week and he isnt going purely on the fact that its not at the mcg, its rubbish and im sure there are alot of these type of supporters that go for melbourne We play 2 games there this year so have the $50+whatever 2 games worth of membership is worth.. something like $65 with 2 games entry would have to sell more than 50 bucks with nothing
  2. i bet they wont be boo-ing if he has a son that is a dead set gun in 20 years time
  3. im 99% sure he would be able to as it is just another box on the form that you tick.. dont 100% know though With regards to the MCC/MFC membership, i think its good without being great i sign up to this $50 membership each year knowing ill get virtually nothing out of it, which seems a bit pointless, but i do it anyway one option that i think would make it better would be to make it 60-75 bucks and make it a etihad stadium membership,3 game-ish? (how ever many away games we play there) as i think alot of mcc members wouldnt go to the dome becuase of the notion they have to pay, i think it would be a great excuse for even more mcc to sign up, because at the moment it kind of seems pointless, fickle supporters need a reason to sign up and i think that would give it to them thoughts?
  4. touche also looking at the age realfooty website. im amazed by the amounth of melbourne content - Jurrah Article - 2 Links to 'Demons lapping it up' slide show - MCC silver spoon artice - 'Demon Fever' link - Demons are Copy Cats Link - Another photo link with moloneys face with the captain 'demons win again' - where will melbourne finish poll they are loving us atm
  5. Micheal Newton has to be SeaMan
  6. also carlton have lodged papers to get the buckley kid that is carving up atm so that WS cant get him as one of their 17 year olds.. so i cant see why we wouldnt be able to do the same thing if he was good enough
  7. http://messenger-news.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/roosters-sign-son-of-a-gun/ so he is 15 year old. so 3 years away which will be after the comprimised drafts and hopefully in our premiership window.. getting a gun with a mid teen pick is always handy
  8. and more importantly my supercoach!!!
  9. awesome news.. really really important players to our club they have both been through 2-3 years of rebuilding and getting belted.. so there is no point in jumping off now and going togold coast to start all over again
  10. well he is from merbein, you have to have a mouth when your from merbein
  11. agreed, they havent been, the only one really comparable would be morton who played 40 games in his first 2 seasons grimes and watts been hampered by injuries/just not ready either way i wont be fussed, although playing them both the 1st three then drop scully for a richmond game seems a bit pointless, a 'rest' would probobly be better against brisbane next week if they went down that path.. also they have come out and said the plan is to keep them both in the 22, so straying from that would be odd versus richmond who WILL (or so my $150 @ 3.50) win the wooden spoon sylvia in for newton seems the logical choice, as sylvia provides that focal point that newton does and jamar is up against a hack(simmonds) and a kid, so no real need for newton, even more logical considering the quick moving breaking the lines style play we are trying to implement bench: mckenzie scully jones bennell... cant see bail starting foward pocket when bennell is on bench
  12. Scully whilst not as flashy as trenners, i think, done pretty well in his first 3 games. he hasnt been lethal or eye catching but.. Round 1: 20 disposals Round 2: 15 Round 3: 18 averging 17.66 wouldnt do him any harm to go back to the scorps but if he is feeling fine then no point in giving him a rest edit: rich averaged 15.25 last year, so hes getting the ball, the only way he will improve at AFL level is by playing AFL level
  13. Tomorrow we are playing a genuine premiership contender, and thus our expectations should be put in measure after the game tomorrow, as usual alot of posters will come on here whingeing their guts out and blaming everything from grass to the coach thats why i call on you guys to put down what you think will be a passable performance, so you cant come on here and give some lip about the club. here is what i would love to see 1 - Kick 10 goals - with our current foward line i think that woud be a pass mark against a top 4 side, (newton 2 goals) 2 - Another solid performance from scully, trengove and mckenzie, with also strauss doing a few more nice things, and bail showing glimpses 3 - a 4 quarter tackling pressure effort, and for us to match them in the tackle count at the end of the game that is all, im not worried about the result and wont be getting angry tomorrow what do you expect put down some hard figures, so you can be happy/unhappy with a reason come tomorrow night cheers JONESY!!

  15. i noticed on the hawks board during some scouting for supercoach that they had some awesome wallpapers going around. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533835 http://uploadpsd.com/file/49256.psd thats the link to the template and as i dont have photoshop i cant get it to work i was hoping that someone had photoshop out there and was keen to see if they could make up a few with melbourne players/colours/logo(demon not melbFC) some with watts/jurrah/grimes and other favourites would look awesome, i need some red and blue on my phone and these look awesome

  17. i joined the supercoach league.. i love it for the 1st time in a while a few melbourne players justified selection atm i got Scully - tossing up with him or trengove.. nab cup form will prolly decide who i put in there Sylvia - gonna smash it up Tapscott - got the size to play early, so see how he goes Watts - this could change but not many cheap fowards that will play rnd 1..
  18. Shed a tear as Tom scully and Jack trengove got handed their jumpers on stage tonight.. Because I'll admit I did.. Club defining moment
