  1. Was very good again today. High fpoty IQ that bloke and the skills to execute. Even though he missed that goal on the run, it was great seeing him take on the game and use his speed.
  2. You can't have a go at anyone, mate. You're like a yoyo every week. But Gus is a gem. His touches are pretty much all scoring involvements. A very damaging player.
  3. Oh yeah and Grimes has to go. An absolute liability. Jetta was brilliant though. Watts was strong, Cross was good and Jones was handy.
  4. He was broadcasting Press Red For Ed in Fox Footy. A deliberately biased commentary of the game. I can't wait to watch his version. Was very quiet today. I was loving giving a bit of lip to all the Collingwood supporters around us.
  5. Thought we'd win that. Typical Melbourne. I'm loving the fact that at least 'typical Melbourne' means we win when all seems hopeless and lose when we should win. That was always bound to happen this season. I said we'd win between 6-8 games this year. We've won 6 now, so any wins from here are brilliant. Let's see if we can't break some other records like winning two in a row and winning at Etihad. And Bernie Vince, you're a star.
  6. If we're saying George Stone is the difference, and if it's the truth, we're in trouble, given Goodwin is the bloke who has taken over from him.
  7. We kicked a winning score in Geelong without any KPF. If the midfield works hard and gets on top, we're a big chance. Starting well is paramount. We need to feed on their recent loses, which will hopefully add an extra mental barrier for them to overcome this week.
  8. No he wouldn't.
  9. Wouldn't say no if he passed a medical. Reports where?
  10. Definitely LOLed there, Biffen. Glad the kids like Jack. I've only met him once at a party when he'd first been drafted. He seemed a little shy to me, nice, but shy. He's certainly not shy now. But maybe I was just drunk that night.
  11. Or uncontested, he taps it straight down the throat of an opposition player.
  12. It may me an overly simplistic view, but I believe that we are setting up at stoppages to limit damage, rather than to attack. If we end up with the ball, that's great, but our first priority seems to be damage limitation.
  13. Fascinating. I wonder if Roos had an inkling this rule would be passed for this year? Is this how he intends to get this A+er into the club? I'd use our 2016 first rounder for Prestia if we really like someone in the draft this year.
  14. Treloar isn't a big bodied mid. But he is a great accumulator and has a bit of x-factor with his goal kicking and speed.
  15. Apparently, I need to re-read it. Apologies and apologies to Redleg too. Yeah, apologies, mate.
  16. Sorry, why is everyone telling Olisik to grow up? Redleg's comment about 'war dance' in regards to Bennell was completely irrelevant to his footballing ability and should have been called out.
  17. We lack senior players. I think that's more of the problem. We haven't had a group that have stayed through and been competitive AFL footballers. They're all retired. The Moloney's and Sylvia's of the world. That's what I believe is really hurting us, but time for Col to move.
  18. Bennell's better than Motlop, with greater potential too.
  19. If it's true that Treloar was offered the same deal as Shiel, it's clear that they prioritised Treloar too, but he either wanted more money or had his heart set on returning to Victoria or both.As for Treloar lacking x-factor, I completely disagree. He's fast, hits the scoreboard and wins a heap of the ball. He's already in the elite category for mine and was there last year too. Treloar will be in the top 10 midfielders in 3 or 4 years time. He is a gun, who is probably down on form slightly this year, which tells you something, given his ability to put up big numbers consistently.
  20. In all seriousness, I'd be offering $700,000 to Prestia and Treloar. Think 6 year deals. They are young and A grade talent already. Add them to Brayshaw, Hogan and hopefully Petracca, support from Jones and Vince, and that's a seriously good midfield. Then there's Viney, Tyson and VNB.
  21. Let's talk stats, shall we? So Patrick Dangerfield averages early 20s for disposals for the last three years and averages one goal a game. Dion Prestia averages late 20s for the past three years. Who would you prefer? Sorry, the article on the AFL website 'Is Patrick Dangerfield worth the hype' got me thinking.
  22. Oh, sorry OD. I'm not referring to the one on the boundary. I'm referring to the one that would classify as the forward pocket, but it's barely acute.
  23. He's a right footer, so the wrong side for a right footer, but the angle is not acute.
  24. It's interesting. Gawn has missed the exact same shot on goal against Geelong, Essendon and Brisbane - the last three weeks. It's the one from the left forward pocket.
