  1. You were certainly vindicated today, Paul. Humble pie consumed. Still don't think he'll be more than a fringer going forward though.
  2. Either way, Mormons believe in Jesus Christ.
  3. This was floating around on one of the Facebook pages today. Is that your third hand information source?
  4. Agreed, but he's had an ordinary year. Apart from a couple of games loose off half back, he's been a shadow of 2014/2015.
  5. I can recall Harmes hitting two targets all day. The Harmes off half back experiment is too costly. His kicking and decision-making are disgusting.
  6. They won three quarters. We didn't deserve the four points. We got over the line because Gold Coast's midfield is decimated. Dom was terrific. Stretch played one great half. Frost was good (minus a few poor errors). After a pathetic quarter and a bit Vandenberg proved his place today, so I'll eat some humble pie for that. Took a really important mark at CHF at the end too. And my man Jayden Hunt was great too. I still don't understand how someone like Harmes (who is an absolute butcher) gets guys coming up to console him after another heinous turn over, but Hunt continues to create scoring opportunities and no one gets to him. There's a distinct lack of cohension in this team at times, which almost certainly stems from a lack of senior leadership, but is also evidenced by the lack of talk our players have when attacking the ball.
  7. From a stupid Watts kick, where he should have either put it down Jesse's throat or kicked the goal himself. That was right in front of us. Jesse has every right to remind Jack how he sustained that injury. Not the only poor decision by an MFC player today, but if it's anything worse than a corkie, could be a very damaging poor decision/skill execution.
  8. Exactly what he did at Adelaide. Won a BnF and then his head and ego exploded. Concentrate on playing footy Bernie and get off the media stage.
  9. That was a poir skill execution. The decision was alright.
  10. Gus and Truck are class. How was the decision-making from Truck passing to Kent when he could have blazed away. Brilliant.
  11. Tyson best player on the ground by quite a way. Well done, Dom. Showing good leadership.
  12. What a [censored] disgrace. Jones calling for those stupid cheapies and then putting team mates under pressure. Show some leadership. Already bereft of leadership out there.
  13. I didn't realise Brisbane rested Martin and Schache last night. Very tanky.
  14. Thanks for this KC. Didn't see a second of the game, so just wondering how Oliver wasn't in the best with 36 touches. Particularly, as some seemed to think he was getting the job down on the inside.
  15. See, I'd agree with this, except for the lack of TOG both Brayshaw and Oliver play at. We can't carry them both at the moment. Cannot wait until they're both in the same side though. This is going to be a scary midfield. We talk about GWS, but injury permitting, in 2-3 years we'll have the best midfield in the competition.
  16. Rubbish. Brayshaw's fortnight since he's come back has been really positive. I love Clarry, but it's not Gus I'd be switching him for. If he had the tank, I'd be swapping him for AVB.
  17. I still think there's a big chance we'll finish ahead of St Kilda.
  18. As long as Geelong don't pinch another flag. I have a feeling whoever wins it this year will be a very ordinary winner. There's no real standout team this season. Yes, I know Hawthorn are two games clear on top, but they've played some ordinary footy at times this year. A hypocritical Christian? Never.
  19. Didn't Roos make some noises earlier in the season about 'probably playing Brayshaw too much last season' (paraphrasing)? I think in an ideal world they wouldn't have needed to play him as often, but you're right, he was miles ahead of anyone else. Can't wait to see how he goes tomorrow too. His last two weeks have been really positive.
  20. I didn't say we'd had a flawless season or even a great season. That would have meant knocking off Hawthorn, Adelaide and West Coast last week, but there is some grey, OD. To try and argue we'll have come bugger all distance in 2016 if we lose to the Suns tomorrow is just [censored]. It's also not supported by any facts, only your emotions.
  21. Prestia was never going to go to Richmond, but if there was any doubt, Exhibit A today.
  22. I'd be tempted to keep them both, but if I was pushed, I'd say Pedersen instead of Dawes. But I think it's entirely possible both with go. How's that for some fence-sitting?
  23. Okay, so this is what I'd say to this comment... Terry Wallace was talking on SEN tonight about the top 4. He ran through the top 8's remaining draws and from here locked in Hawthorn and Geelong for the top 4. He then predicted it would likely be Adelaide and one of the Sydney teams that would round out the top 4. Can I remind you of the following results: we pushed the Hawks, only to go down by 3 goals; we pushed Adelaide, only to go down by 3 and a bit goals; and we beat GWS. Aside from the Sydney game, where the wet conditions clearly hampered our running game and their mature bodies smacked us up, we have been competitive against those really top sides. To say we're potentially 3 goals off where the premiers are, that is a quantum leap forward. Our improved scoring power and vastly improved ball movement is evidence of how far we've come in 2016. Have people forgotten that in 2015 we barely managed to move the ball with any fluency at any point during the season? Geelong was one of those games, as was the Richmond game. Last year's inability to move the ball quickly was hampered by a totally different game style. So what you're doing is talking pessimistic twaddle again, OD. And let the above be a reminder to the rest of you wrist slashers. Even if we lose tomorrow (we won't - we'll win by 10 goals), there's still marked improvement this season with an extremely young team that will improve again next year. There's too much quality, mixed with inexperience in the team not to grow leaps and bounds in 2017 and 2018.
