WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
Yeah, it did. That's why I liked the post.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Agreed, but I think they'll want someone else to allow Salem to eventually play in the midfield.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
Well, no, not all of us are going on some YouTube clips. I have seen Petracca's clips online, but I wanted to know from someone who has actually watched him play, ideally multiple times.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
It'll be really interesting to see who we get this off season to play off half back. Will they go with just pace again (H) or will they go for elite skills (McKenzie)? Obviously, a mixture of both would be great. I've no doubt they've identified this area of the ground as severely lacking.

I haven't seen him play. Would you compare him to someone like Stringer?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Once again. Was saying he wasn't worth it. Would much prefer Heppell or Carlisle. Wouldn't touch them though with bans looming.
-
Delistings/trades at end of the season
Yeah, that's not really point being made. The DE stat is one of the most useless stats in footy. Tells you pretty much nothing.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
We'd have to give up too much for him and Heppell is a better player. He's a little overrated for mine too.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Carlisle, Heppell, Zaharakis and probably Hurley are the only guys I'd touch on their list, but ultimately I wouldn't risk any of them. NOTE: I understand Zaharakis isn't one of those potentially facing a ban.

Neville Jetta
Love Nev. He's tough, reads the play well and is certainly showing great leadership.

Reliable enough, I think. I actually have a couple of connections to him.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
I'm told he's on peanuts, and rightly so, as he's never been on the park a full season and until now hasn't grabbed that #1 ruck spot. Apparently, he wants a little more, but will sign with the MFC.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Well, he certainly did that. Was pinged on about 3 or 4 occasions against Collingwood. You might want to watch the replay, mate. My sister and I just finished watching it. We thought he was hopeless live. On the replay, it was confirmed. I counted four effective things he did in the entire match. Most of his disposals put team mates under pressure or simply went backwards, with nothing gained. He'll keep getting games I think, because he didn't get dropped after the St Kilda game. He was even worse this week, but until Salem is available, he'll get games. Howe on the other hand played just about the best game I can recall him playing. He was dominant in the air and really set the tone early.

Fascinating. I wonder if Roos had an inkling this rule would be passed for this year? Is this how he intends to get this A+er into the club? I'd use our 2016 first rounder for Prestia if we really like someone in the draft this year.

Treloar isn't a big bodied mid. But he is a great accumulator and has a bit of x-factor with his goal kicking and speed.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Apparently, I need to re-read it. Apologies and apologies to Redleg too. Yeah, apologies, mate.
-
Delistings/trades at end of the season
Sorry, why is everyone telling Olisik to grow up? Redleg's comment about 'war dance' in regards to Bennell was completely irrelevant to his footballing ability and should have been called out.

We lack senior players. I think that's more of the problem. We haven't had a group that have stayed through and been competitive AFL footballers. They're all retired. The Moloney's and Sylvia's of the world. That's what I believe is really hurting us, but time for Col to move.

Bennell's better than Motlop, with greater potential too.

If it's true that Treloar was offered the same deal as Shiel, it's clear that they prioritised Treloar too, but he either wanted more money or had his heart set on returning to Victoria or both.As for Treloar lacking x-factor, I completely disagree. He's fast, hits the scoreboard and wins a heap of the ball. He's already in the elite category for mine and was there last year too. Treloar will be in the top 10 midfielders in 3 or 4 years time. He is a gun, who is probably down on form slightly this year, which tells you something, given his ability to put up big numbers consistently.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
In all seriousness, I'd be offering $700,000 to Prestia and Treloar. Think 6 year deals. They are young and A grade talent already. Add them to Brayshaw, Hogan and hopefully Petracca, support from Jones and Vince, and that's a seriously good midfield. Then there's Viney, Tyson and VNB.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Let's talk stats, shall we? So Patrick Dangerfield averages early 20s for disposals for the last three years and averages one goal a game. Dion Prestia averages late 20s for the past three years. Who would you prefer? Sorry, the article on the AFL website 'Is Patrick Dangerfield worth the hype' got me thinking.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Oh, sorry OD. I'm not referring to the one on the boundary. I'm referring to the one that would classify as the forward pocket, but it's barely acute.
-
Delistings/trades at end of the season
He's a right footer, so the wrong side for a right footer, but the angle is not acute.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
It's interesting. Gawn has missed the exact same shot on goal against Geelong, Essendon and Brisbane - the last three weeks. It's the one from the left forward pocket.
