  1. The idea that someone will have a good season because their coach was their childhood hero is laughable. The players loved Goody and yet they struggled for consistency for 2 years. It means little.
  2. Remembering that the bones of this team played a chaos game for 4 years prior to 2020. So I don't think it's an inability to embrace the chaos. It's an inability to execute when the game goes up a notch and an inability to know when to change gears.
  3. It was practically a carbon copy of the GWS game in Round 1. We have to learn how to win close games and know when and when not to flick the switch.
  4. At least he's hit the ground running. 6 months after they said he would. Fantastic.
  5. Son, @Engorged Onion, can you please provide your services to our football club? Whoever is team psychologist is struggling to get the job done.
  6. It's just about consistency though. If you're going to pay it against Kozzy, you have to pay it against Cameron. I wouldn't have paid it either time.
  7. Clarry was our best player for mine and it was easily his best game since 2023. 9 score involvements, 1 goal assist at 87% with 19 handballs from 30 disposals. He was really good. High damage and low turnover count with only 3 from 30. Interesting thing was only 2 clearances though.
  8. Kozzy had a free. kick paid against him for exactly the same thing earlier in the game.
  9. I hope Judd stays, but he needs to play back. There was a passage of play tonight that reinforced my view that he's no midfielder and doesn't execute quickly enough with genuine frontal pressure. Our mids did a brilliant job of flicking the ball around and keeping it in motion, and away from Collingwood's frontal pressure, probably 5 or 6 Demons involved and it finally got to Judd and he choked it up, Collingwood slung shot off it for a score.
  10. Was brilliant tonight. Love him. Great first season, Bison.
  11. Bottled another lead we should have held. @Scoop Junior
  12. I should post more on gameday threads. Our stoppage work that quarter was phenomenal.
  13. I don't know what they're saying on the TV but we're defending the ground well and moving the ball well but our stoppage work is atrocious. Jones needs to go. And we need to stop turning it over so regularly across half back, but you can see we're making progress on this stuff.
  14. I was talking to a St Kilda mate this morning who saod he and many others he knew weren't going to renew next year if Wanganeen-Milera left. It doesn't take much to get signatures, but I hope all those that refused to re-sign because of Goodwin re-sign next year. I won't be holding my breath though. I will always buy a membership because the club is bigger than my disappointment in it.
  15. Please post more mate.
  16. Derpsy derps. Thanks mate.
  17. Hang on. I missed this. What happened? Buckley was on 3AW talking about offloading Clarry?
  18. Because some of the stuff that has come out of the club only board members or key FD staff could know. Or we could just bury our head in the sand.
  19. This is fair IMV. That's not true though. He put Kozzy through there. They tried Chandler, Langford and Lindsay through there at various stages, but the latter two are better served on the outside until they build their tanks. Langford has looked tired for weeks and Lindsay hit the wall off a reduced first pre season. He did rely heavily on Oliver, Viney and even Trac this year, which I found disappointing, but to say it never happened is not true. This is fair. I'm sorry but this is completely wrong. For years we played plus one behind the ball, not at the source... We haven't played +1 at the source since pre 666 rule change. And this year we often played even numbers... This is fair.
  20. Very unlikely LJ comes back sans Goody and with our off field mess. We are not an attractive destination anymore.
  21. I said earlier in the year that ideally we'd have another off season or two like the last two, and bring in 2-3 first rounders, but we're just not going to have the draft capital. So either we get them through trading or JT pulls some rookies out of the hat ala Turner and McVee.
  22. I said bookmark it multiple times. Was surely never in doubt. Welcome, Kalani. 🎉🙏👏
  23. Yep, very unlikely to get a revamped team. Chocco and Selwyn are out of contract I believe, so we could get a new fitness guru and new head of development (Nev Jetta?), but Richo has a year to go and Radford, Jones and Bassett signed deals this year. I would be staggered if Chaplin doesn't stay. And hopefully we can get a senior assistant like Bruce to run strategy and ball movement or midfield. We may have to get creative with our accounting regarding Richo.
  24. What are you basing this on? How do you know this?
  25. Haven't you been banging on for years about trading away our senior players? Now you want to make sure we appoint a coach who played for their childhood team to keep them around? Again, I don't really care who we appoint as long as they are the best fit for us. But you're all over the place on this.
