Holland and Brad Johnson under investigation
praha replied to Jaded No More's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think it matters. I don't expect Dutchy to be making the trip west anyway. -
I went to 2 games there; both against Fitzroy and we won by 60+ and 80+. Good times lol
-
I was sitting in the opposite pocket and saw it on the big screen. it was clearly out on the full...
-
"...and fit". I guess I worded it wrong. Pickett is not fit, but if he was, he would be in ahead of Warnock, Ward, Brown and Godfrey. Obviously if Pickett hadnt been dropped, Ward wouldnt have come in.
-
Miller and Brown have more of a chance of being dropped than Dunn. Neitz was extremely underdone today. Won't surprise me if he doesnt pull up.

I have an idea. It's wild and dumb, but an idea nonetheless

I know we are playing WC, but the fact that victorian sides have struggled there for years and the fact that we are second last and they are 1st, and at home, comes into consideration. I rekon anywhere $4.50-$6. I'm gonna jump straight on. Maybe $3.50 closer to gametime. -
You forgot Whelan. I was thinking exactly the same thing today. Imagine if we had Brock, Rivers, Whelan, Bartram, Robbo, Pettard, Pickett all in that side...and fit!
-
I saw Mark Williams today. I have to say, he is enourmous; the guy must work out heaps. Seriously. The guy is massive...

I'm heading to Europe in exactly a month today. I have $4,000 spending at about $120 AUD per day. I want a little more, and still have a month to save, but I have this tingling feeling in my gut. That tingling feeling is sending a message up to my brain. That message is: "$50 on Melbourne" We'd have to be paying $6+ next week, won't we??? -
Daniher won't be at the MFC next year, or any other AFL club. My bet is 2009 he will be somewhere else, around the same time we will win the flag....seriously.

West Coast has been the standout for 3 seasons (including this one) without a standout foward who kicks bags. Davey, Green, Slvia, Brock, Johnstone, Robbo, Dunn, all of these players can kick goals, both on the run and from set-shot.
-
No doubt the doggies would have scored a few less goals had Whelan and Rivers been playing. Bruce would have been freed up and played in the centre. Brock in the centre and Robbo playing foward. Wow. And we only lost by 6 points...

tasteless but funny...

It was just after our last goal. We were up by 1 point. The ball gets thrown onto the boot of a Melbourne player in the centre (think it was Macca) and heads towards centre-half foward. Davey was stand flat-footed and was staring towards the bench, and by the time he realised the ball was coming, his opponent had moved off, grabbed the ball, booted it foward, Jones gave away the free kick, and they kicked the last goal of the game for the win. Now, he was one of, if not the, best player for Melbourne today. Myself and all 4 of my mates saw it and started cursing ourselves. Did anyone else? It happened very quickly, but for that split second Davey had lost concentration and it cost us, because the Doggies player got the ball without contest. Davey was literally standing still when he realised it was coming foward. It looked really bad. But I hate to say because he was sensational today. But that lapse in concentration may have cost us... EDIT: Have a look at the reply. Should be on soon.

Sylvia is a finese type player. He is a hardnut, but not of the calibre of say Brock or Jones. He just looks so good when he has the ball and delivers it or is having a shot for goal. Easily his best AFL game today. He stood up and played like a true foward.
-
I actually thought Godders was off West in the last, and that is probably where he got most of the ball. Up to half way through the third, he only had 10 or so possies.
-
QFT Yze is Muslim, but the fact that they are blowing it up that he is a devout Muslim is just stupid. I mean, first Irish player fair enough, or first player from South Africe or Sudan or whatever, but why Muslim? Who cares. As long as the kid plays football. They are making it out like being Muslim and playing AFL is an amazing achievement...like as if it's nothing that could have ever been excepted. Had he debuted 10 years ago, no one would even know who he was.
-
Godfrey probably has one of the better football brains at the club. He knows how to get into position, when to jump on the ball and when not too, and he can hit a leading foward if he needs too. He's an ugly football (literally, as well), but he just always brings it. Love the guy.
-
who said anything about him being our best player? I think he is far from it. He gets the possies, yeah, but I think that he has probably "won" a game for us maybe 1 or 2 times in his entire career. He just does nothing, as a leader should, when we are down. Yeah, he gets 25-30 possies, but how many of those are contested possestions, or handballs to a teammate running clear 40 metres out from goal, or a direct pass into our 50 to a leading foward???? Not many.
-
to anyone who thinks Bruce even has a remotely good kick, honestly, watch some games. The guy must drop the ball crooked on his foot or something. Bruce + Miller + 1st rd pick for Judd lol serious...
