  1. Another shocking decision with holding the ball.
  2. We have been the better side for 2/3 of the game. Let's see if we can finish it in the 4th.
  3. MORTON!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Absolute disgrace. It is officially the worst rule in the game, all at the hards of the over-interrupting AFL.
  5. Actually, no more a shambles than Collingwood's...
  6. I hate to say it, but today would be a PERFECT day for Watts to stand up and kick 2-3 goals to give us the win. Our forward line is just a pure and utter shambles atm.
  7. Cam Bruce just killed our momentum.
  8. Garland from 50!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! YESSSSSSS
  9. Playing VERY well. Dunn's got to get it!
  10. Bloody destroying them. Struggling up forward.
  11. Watts once again strolling and getting tackled for holding the ball. He gets the ball, but then he underestimates the opponents. Needs a bit more aggression. It'll come.
  12. uMMM...How are they interviewing Baily mid-quarter? That's disgraceful...
  13. WHAT A DISGRACEFUL DECISION!
  14. Two weeks in a row now being destroyed in tackles. God damn SPEWING I'm not there!
  15. Well that's good, because we were OK after the first quarter last week.
  16. He's. Played. 7. Games. For every new Watts thread that is started, I'm going to kill a puppy. It's getting ridiculous now.
  17. I can't imagine us finishing last. Even though West Coast beat us, we're still a better team than them atm. And we're miles ahead of Richmond. We'll get 1-3 more wins for the season, don't worry. We have our best chance to win at AAMI in 2 weeks in years. We might even go in favourites depending on how we play today. Also, Essendon at the MCG a few weeks later. Also got Richmond, North and Hawthorn, all at the MCG. All winnable. Can't imagine Richmond winning more than 4 games.
  18. Goes to show how having d-grade facilities has hurt this team. Our drafting has never been an issue imo. It's giving players the opportunity to take the next step up from being just a good player. We just can't do it. Hopefully the tide is turning with Casey, Olympic Park, etc. People really underestimate its affect on this club. It's almost killed it in every way (on and off the field).
  19. It's funny. Someone goes on TV and abuses an umpire or an official or even another player, and they essentially get a slap on the wrist. Being an abusive homophobic these days gets you a petty fine. But a late change in a football game only really affects the opposition, and is their having to rush around to change their line-up really worth $15,000? What a crock.
  20. He's. Played. 7. Games.
  21. Wow, you guys are optimistic. They're going to have 17 top 20 draft picks over the space of two years. Plus the high picks after that. Plus Ablett and a few other good-quality AFL players. There's no way anyone comes close to that Gold Coast from 2013-2022 imo. They are going to be a superstar team. They have the best of the best up there atm in terms of the football department. The more I think about it, the more I think the success of our young players must improve dramatically. We can't have as many young players drop out like they used to. And to be honest, I'm not sure the MFC can do that. We'll be a very good team in 3-4 years. But I believe by that time our success will be aggressively compromised by the GWS and GC.
  22. Hmm, poor teams typically do better in the wet, because the skill level overall drops. We play good in the wet because we are not a very good team in the dry yet.
  23. The initial optimism was for us to improve this year, which we have in every aspect. I'm not entirely sure what you expect, but then again, so many people are expecting a one Jack Watts to lead the goal kicking table after only 7 games. We're still a pretty crap team. 40 point losses to finals teams like Carlton are to be expected. I can't imaging us winning anymore than 2-3 more games this year, if that. But I won't be disappointed in that, because I expected around 6 wins. We are still so far off from being a good team. We will see fades of the future (game vs. Brisbane, for example), but we will also see the team going back into its shell (games vs. Carlton).
  24. The impression I get is that Twitter is a very "on the go" kind of social interaction, and I doubt he was siting at his computer with a list of players in front of him, hoping to name all of them. Not naming Petterd is no big deal. Players get left out of lists off the time when they're named off the top of someone's head.
