Outcoached and outclassed. Forward pressure non-existent. This seriously wreaks of a Roos game. Absolutely bog it down and floor your own forward line. Ugly to watch but gee, we lack intent and class. Nothing going our way. Their ability to find space is quite telling. They badly want this win. They are fighting for it. We're handing it to them.

No doubt it's complacency. We should be toweling them up but we're allowing blokes with 2 games experience get space and driving inside entries. It's actually interesting how much space they have, and how bad our skills us. If anything it shows where we're at. Our worst is still probably the worst in the league.

We've been terribly outcoached. But it doesn't help that we are actually a really dumb team. Their spread is killing us. 4-5 guys all go to punch a ball and miss, and Daniher marks. We make too many areas across half-back. We hesitate. Leadership is lacking today . Bombers the deserving leaders atm. Look at the stats. This as actually an annihilation.

They're toying with us in the same way GWS did .Luckily we're pretty good at getting back. But our structure out of defense and going forward is abysmal at times. Their spread is great for a bunch of VFL players. If we lose this It'll be an indictment on everything the team's worked for.

The forward line clicked when everyone was moved out of the way. Pedo wasn't the only one clogging it up for three quarters. Kent, Garlett both pushed up, Jones didn't go deep as often, Gawn held back. At least Pedo's versatile. Dawes lacks that flexibility to move up the ground and contribute. Frost struggles to get involved, and his set shot is shocking. He should be made to find form at VFL. Pedo is far more useful than both of them atm.

Jones has been great in 2016 so far. Serviceable. Seems like Roos likes him. He has improved out of site. Could have a 2016 ala Jetta 2014. Liked him a lot so far. Disposal has improved out of site. And one of the club's hardest trainers.

I'm embarrassed for them. By all means have something that "supports" the club, but what they have planned is disrespectful, condescending, and shockingly elist. They are treating the league, its fans and the rules with utter contempt. I will stay seated and quiet when they do their stand and golf clap gimmick. Wouldn't be surprised if some Bombers fans do the same.

The interchange cap rule is going to really benefit teams like Melbourne. You're going to see a lot of 50/50 contests this year, more than other years.

imo it's less Gawn's fault and more the midfielders. There are 10 seconds left and they didn't defend the defensive side of the contest (facing the opposition goal). Instead they were positioned to attack (stand behind Gawn). It was a massive defensive error in the midfielders behalf imo.

He cost us two third-quarter goals yesterday, and also fumbled an easy handpass in the third quarter, which almost cost us a goal. Thankfully he recovered and handballed on, but I was done with him when he fumbled it. We can't get a break sometimes. We either can't hit targets, or hit targets and the receiver fumbles it lol

Jesus Christ... Not sure what's worse, your comment or the fact 7 people liked it. Melbourne controlled the play all day bar a few patches. They didn't capitalise but GWS had all the run and as you said, at times played like a team that *seemed* 10 goals ahead. But you know what? It was always a 50/50 contest. Even when they were 20 points up. We couldn't score, but we pushed them to the boundary and defended an explosive and transitioning team SUPERBLY. Have you not watched this team for the past 4 seasons? In 2012 that would have been a 15 goal loss. They took it to us, we toyed with them, let them get some air, and then took control when it mattered. That was a superb win. A great team effort. They didn't lose it. We won it. They wanted to play a certain way, and 9/10 we stopped them from playing their way. It was 50/50 all day. Grunt vs speed. Defense vs attack. We took control and demanded attention at the pivotal moment. We finally play like winners and that's the crap you post! Gee whiz!

We are still in this. We are playing quintessential Roos football. We have them exactly where we want them. This final quarter may well define Roos tenure. We have controlled the play, go forward more often, and are playing on our terms. If we lose this, expect a massive media backlash against Roos. This is the quarter when his style is supposed to shine. Time to put this team to the test.
