Agree 100%, OUT: PJ (never to play seniors again unless 5 of our ruckmen come down with injury) IN: Martin. Play Martin at FF to give us some form of forward structure. 5 marks inside forward 50 is not good enough, and then when Jamar needs a spell move Martin into the ruck. I know Martin has a minor injury at the moment so in the case that he may not be fit, dare I say either Miller or Newton should get a game to play this role.

The Geelong Football Club will sign Petterd? I would have thought GCFC were most likely to sign him? Sorry, that was a cheap shot but couldn't resist.

Hate to say it as I like MacDonald but I have to agree with you. With Warnock, Frawley, Garland and Rvers already in the team, and the club most likely to prefer McNamara as a long term prospect, I can't see a spot for MacDonald on our list after the 2011 season.

Keep your eye on Fitzpatrick over the coming years, he could be the answer your looking for IMO.

Dissapointed Blease hasn't come up, but as long as it's just the one week off then that's ok, it's all about the long term picture for Blease. I'm just shattered that the game was moved from the sunday to the saturday otherwise I would have been there for the 2nd week in a row.

Only way a match in Turkey could work is if the following week was the split round and Collingwood and Essendon had the week of, however it would be far to early in the season that it would defeat the whole purpose of the split round to give all players a rest late in the season....

Hopefully this issue will be no more once Fitzpatrick is ready for his debut game, he'd fit that role perfectly!

I haven't forgoten about Hughes Deeoldfart, it's just going to be a question of will there be room for the club to promote him? I think we can all agree McKenzie without doubt will be promoted, and he certainly deserves it! And then I guess it will depend on how much they rate Spencer compared to Hughes? I think they'll have enough trouble promoting 2 players let alone 3.

Haha, not a fan RR? Only reason why I think this could possibly happen is if the FD think Spencer, Gawn, Martin & Fitzpatrick are to inexperienced to be Jamar's back up for 2011. Me personally, I think he should get the chop and not be re-drafted.

I think the most likely scenario at seasons end will be: McDonald - retire Green - takes McDonalds spot on veterans list Petterd - Gold Coast (I hope not though) Miller - delist Bell - delsit Johnson - delist (possibly redraft with 3rd pick in National draft.) McKenzie - promote to senior list Spencer - promote to senior list

I agree about Bell going and probably Miller also, but Newton and Meesen are on the rookie list so that wont open up any senior spots. If I remember correctly the club has to draft three players, so if we're to promote Mckenzie and Spencer that means we have to get rid of 5! Miller & Bell are two, say Petterd gets poached by GC17 and McDonald retires we'd have 1 final person to cull. I'd be suprised if McNamara went, he's young and is promising. PJ maybe but that would leave ruck stocks after Jamar of Martin, Spencer, Gawn and Fitzpatrick, all still very inexperienced. That's why I think it could be Bruce or maybe even Dunn as the 5th person?

9th to 11th with 8 - 10 wins which at the start of the season I would have taken in a heart beat. 2011, let the first of at least half a dozen consecutive finals appearances and at least 2 premierships begin!

Simple, match ups against the blues. Warnock - O'Halphin Rivers - Waite Frawley - Betts Garland - Yarran Bartram - Garlett Grimes - Lucas or whoever else it is Carltank play forward? Long term I think you'll find one of Bartram, Cheney or Strauss will fill this role.

Shattered Fitzpatrick is out for 4 weeks. Was on the verge of getting a game with Casey seniors.

It is a lot of players out of contract at seasons end. Hopefully there'll be a lot of re-signing of players during the season.

He's not playing the same role as he did last year, they're playing him more off half forward while last year he was off half back. He's also getting more attention then he did last year. He's still been good without being fantastic, I wouldn't be to concerned.
