  1. All coaches collaborated to come to a score for each player. There were quite a few 30's given - seem to score fairly harshly. Maximum possible would be 880 (22 x 40) Brad Green scored 295 in 22 games Av 13.4. Col Sylvia 170 in 15 games Av 11.3
  2. Problems here too. Can watch other videos on AFL site but nothing from MFC site.
  3. Melbourne football Club is giving away free Demons packs for schools. MFC website First in Best Dressed. Making way for new merchandise? 45HG16 - get in quick
  4. I believe Junior & Millsy were not happy with The Age article. They thought it did not accurately reflect what they were saying. I think all bridges have been mended. Woewy has been back at the club - most recently for the 10 year reunion of the 2000 Grand Final Team. If there is a vacancy - I say let's look at what he has to offer.
  5. Most ridiculous suggestion I.ve heard. Who will give us that advantage in the centre over the next 2-3 years. None of the others are up to it yet. Maybe in 2-3 we will have someone who has acheived what he has to take over the reins. NO!!! NO!!!! NO!!!!!!
  6. It is actually Robert Walls selection that gets considered at the end of the year. If the voters select a different mark to Robert Walls then that one MAY be considered. Here is the link to how it works.Mark of the Year. The winner gets Free petrol - NOT a car or T.V. If Wallsy selected Liam.s mark - he is in with a chance.
  7. Great decision Brad. You are a true gentleman with a great set of ethics. Have a great game and lead Casey to victory. Enjoy the moment. I hope a few of the Dees supporters are able to get out & support Casey before going to the "G".
  8. Been on Foxtel a couple of times yesterday and again tonight. Haven't seen it on mainstream channels though. GREAT for the supporters who have supported in all ways.
  9. I really don't understand this argument. Would not the same apply if he has a farewell game and got injured in the last game. I don't mind him having a farewell game - but from his tweets I believe he was looking forward to playing finals with Casey. Can someone come up with a definitive answer on this?
  10. It is quite clear walking across the crossing where our office is. Something on the glass door (can't remember what.) Door was locked - can't just walk in. Rattled the door but no response. Premiership cups quite visible through the glass door. Kitchen is actually a cafe which is open to the public. Still work being done - another room at the front which I believe is ours is not finished yet. still being fitted out.
  11. Great article. Very insightful. Makes me really proud to be a member of this great club. Thanks Cam Schwab & Jim Stynes for restoring pride in our club & history.
  12. No chance of getting the same seat you have sat in all year. There is probabaly a member of the opposing team that sat in that same seat all year hoping the same thing. All bets are off and everyone starts from scratch (except the corporates who get the cream). Sorry! In 2000 I got M6 back row ground level near the goals.
  13. I have been a Jim Stynes 205 club member, then Legends, then Redlegs, then Tridents - all because of Grand Final Guarantee. Never dropped back to a lower membership in the lean years. A couple of seasons ago they changed it to Priority tix to Grand final because the AFL said they could not guarantee a GF ticket. It seems to have gone back to GF guarantee lately but there would be a cap on the number of memberships that can be sold with this guarantee. MFC web site lists what the club has done with its 1000 ticket allocation this year.
  14. In Jim Stynes video "Dublin Jim" and also "The Red & Blue" 60 years of the Melbourne Football Club video - Jim talks about 'crossing the mark' and how he would do anything to repay the Melbourne Football Club for making that mistake. Jim - you have repaid us over & over & over. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
  15. Great stuff Dandeeman. Very well put. I totally agree.
  16. I have donated mine already plus extra to cover the next few weeks.
  17. Cam Schwab says they are taking 200. I believe the break down is:- 105 players, staff officials, 25 doing the corporate gig (Travel with the players, stay at their training camp etc.) and 70 doing the supporters tour - hosted by the Ox & his wife. We are booked on the supporters tour. Both groups will join up closer to the game. Bookings close 25/8. All money to be paid by 27/8.
  18. has not set their status

  19. I have really enjoyed all his articles. I hope he is going to write a book. He spent a year with the Terry Wheeler & the bulldogs a few years ago and then wrote a book about it all. Anyone know if there is a book planned in the future?
  20. Bobby Skilton played in 237 games. Semi final was about the highest his team reached. 300+ games players never to have played in a G.F Bernie Quinlan 366 Brad Johnson 357 (current player) Doug Hawkins 350 Chris Grant 341 Kevin Murray 333 Gary Dempsey 329 Barry Round 328 Ian Nankervis 325 Scott West 324
  21. "Don McLardy is quickly emerging as an unsung hero at the MFC. Time to start singing. We have signed 50 more Foundation Heroes at $5K a go." from Cam Scwab on Twitter. From today's Age The club is striving to wipe out the last $767,000 of debt by next week, having already received pledges of $5000 from 52 new ''Foundation Heroes'' who have signed up over the past fortnight, plus an additional $135,000 raised in that time - meaning in effect, it has already eradicated about half of that remaining $767,000 owed.
  22. Pretty amazing that someone can have a relatively short career - 54 games & 10 games - and play in an AFL Premiership & 2 VFL premierships. How many play 300+ games and not play in one.
  23. I think it will only be the new members who have to donate the $5,000. No doubt others will still give but not $5,000 each. From the website:- "The group will welcome 40 new members this year who have each committed a minimum donation of $5,000 and while the primary purpose of the evening is to thank them for their contribution, this is also an opportunity for the Melbourne Football Club to become debt free." For all those (like me) who got missed by the collectors - jump on the website.
