The AFL stats guys need to visit OPSM I think. They only credited Hogan with 3 contested marks. What does he have to do to get the things recorded, take it with his teeth while both arms are being held?

That was really hard to watch. The stupid mistakes in the last quarter were so obvious and cost us over and over. It's like we had two entirely different teams on the ground. The crap side played 1st and 4th and the A side played the 2nd and 3rd. We need the team to get it through their heads that when we don't have the ball we need to man up. It drives me up the wall to see those chains of uncontested marks where our midfielders just don't run with their men and let them get free on the wing. We had them on the ropes at 3/4 time and took the foot off.

FMD! I just saw a Melbourne player run straight past Thomas 30m out to add a spare to the contest in the pocket leaving Thomas to take an uncontested mark! WTF do they think they're doing?

Watts' decision-making has been awful today. He's really hurt us by trying to be too clever.

That was a terrible kick from N. Jones. Put it straight down the throat of a North player and they get it back into the 50 for a goal because of it. We need to iron that crap out of our game if we really want to compete.

Michie just can't seem to hit the goals. He's had chances but just can't get them on target. It's odd, because his field kicking is pretty good.

One thing I absolutely hate to see is players ignoring the ball to stick with their man. Twice in that play we had players who could have intercepted or at least forced a contest but chose to run away with their man instead. North took it the length of the field to goal as a result.

ANB! Subbed on, his first play is a contested mark running back with the flight and a kick to Hogan in the pocket. Way to start things.

That's three or four kicks out of defence in a row that North have marked. Not even remotely good enough by our guys. They have to at least bring that ball to ground, preferably get it over the sideline.

Shocking defending. We had two spare backs and Waite still marked uncontested. Very good pass to him, but we should have had it covered.

Damn that was nice play from the former Magpies. Lamumba turned his man and had two bounces running from HB, Dawes ran back towards the square then turned and led back at him. Beautiful connection, pity he missed the shot.
