Christian Petracca - Season Ending Knee Injury
jnrmac replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gutted for the lad. In a perverse way I think it will be great for Jack Trengove to have a focus on someone else. He will take CP under his wing and help him through it. Which will be great for JT as well. If it works out it will create a very strong team bond. And we might look back on this as the cementing of a real team bond that is the beginning of a team that grows together.....maybe a bit far fetched but already I sense this pre-season here is more cameraderie than we have had in a number of years...... -

Well thats what Roosey was trying to do..... Didn't quite turn out eh? -
I hope they get stuffed for salary cap breaches as well!
-
Yes you did. (kind of) They have flagged it before. They have always had a 'disaster' scenario planned. Maybe they haven't articulated it like that but it is the only practical possibility if they are to field a team.

Speak for yourself... -
They are not racehorses or greyhounds you know....
-
Darren Bennett had wooden arms and hands but he did OK....
-
They are according to my scum mate. Says that a deal was done with Joolya, Evans, Dimwit and that they have a draft copy. It was never signed because the NFL got wind of it and Joolya kyboshed it.
-
Hardly. Stef Martin, Nik Nat and plenty others didn't start until a late age - 17or 18 I believe....

Posted this on another thread but it applies here... No other club would be given carte blanche to bring in players that are not AFL players. Where is the duty of care to our team?? What if one of the players picked from some district league decides to become a hero and king hit one of our players? What if a non-AFL player was to severely injure one of our players through negligence? Where would our justice be? Where would our compensation be if, say one of our key junior players (no names as I don't want to mozz them) suffers a debilitating injury because the scum have created this complete debacle and brought in a player that is sub-AFL standard and who's skill level and awareness is below AFL level?? It's going to be a minefield and the AFL better have good insurance policies.........
-
Is that for certain? I hope so because when it starts to hit the hip pocket of these muppets they might get a bit wiser....Hopefully they all have to take pay cuts. Then we;ll see if goldenballs still has their full support....

This. And better with his twitter account and fans....

-
Read the media release from WADA about the Cronulla situation. They weren't happy with the result but chose not to appeal it because the delay was the fault of ASADA. Totes different from Ess where the delays are being caused by Ess. Its also a systematic widespread attemtpt to use drugs. They are cooked.

Someone with a better memory than me will recall we were crucified by the umps in the game at Adelaide oval. Watts I remember made a beautiful spoil that was awarded a front contact free when he clearly hit the ball first. That goal on 3/4 time changed the momentum we had. There were a few other clangers that cost us dearly. Could well have won without the maggots interfering
-
Dont start that crud again. He refused to play to a team plan, would play 4-8m away from his man and fail to pick them up when we didn't have the ball. The day he pretty much cost a game when we surging and he kicked into the centre from the HB flank rather than around the boundary was the clincher. No brain for footy, too much ego, not enough hard work. Yeah Neeld is an easy target but in this case it wasn't his fault. Gifted 70+ games and showed glimpses of being able to pick up some possessions but largely was a huge bust. Carry on with the training thread...

Another reason to hate the scum (like we needed any more)...if they stuff up our pre-season I will be very unhappy... -
Not a chance Cook would get $1.2m. Its not an ASX 200 company. Its a footy club with $70m ish turnover.

The ones named by Mark Robinson are already in the public domain so not sure why they are trying to protect confidentiality. Another example of the parallel universe they inhabit over at essendrug Jobe Watson, Dyson Heppell, Michael Hurley, Tom Bellchambers, Jake Melksham, Heath Hocking, Michael Hibberd, Kyle Hardingham, Tayte Pears, Alex Browne, Stewart Crameri, Scott Gumbleton, Ricky Dyson, Sam Lonergan Angus Monfries, Paddy Ryder It wouldn't be hard to work out the rest,,,,,
