Cale is a good player who will develop into a very good player IMO with more games under his belt and a stronger physique.He has a fantastic motor and wants the footy.His confidence has already gone up a notch this year. His disposal will improve with more experience and development. An excellent choice at draft pick 4 and I'm sure the coaches are very pleased with his progress.He definitely looks the goods into the future.

Tippet didn't seem to have too much trouble late in the game kicking from a reasonable distance out wind or no wind?

Think some posters are a bit harsh of the following players as they competed pretty hard IMO: Mcdonald Petterd Morton I think Morton is coming along beautifully and is looking very composed under pressure at times given his age and lack of AFL experience.Very promising player. I also thought Jones deserves a special mention for his unrelenting "in and under" work. His disposal may have not been 100% at times but gee he worked hard to get the ball and would have been a very tired boy at the end of the game. Courageous effort by Bartram.Condolences to him and his family.

Judd's team name could be a reference to East Sandrinham juniors?

Alan Jarrott was pretty tough. Remember him pumping fists into Leigh Matthews one day for cheap shotting Peter Giles.

Who cares? All I care about is that we have him and the other clubs don't. That's all that matters!

Your likely right. I just vaguely remember him doing well up forward and being a decent kick for goal.

I can't be 100% sure , but from memory I think PJ played for Vic U18's and WCoast as a Power Forward.I'm not sure he was considered a ruckman at the time?

Also with the push into Casey the joke won't quite fit any more. Not sure how many bogans head up to the snow ?

Make that Sunday! Maybe it was me that wasn't right.

I wasn't sure whether Morton was right on Saturday as he had a big "Chris Mew" out on the ground and just didn't seem to be running nearly as well as he can ? I certainly agree that he looked lost.

Harsh call IMO. Miller offers a tough physical contest and runs hard. One other thing to consider: With so many young players in the team , Miller will protect them when the opposition are trying to rough them up and intimidate them.

The skiing jokes aren't really going to fit when we expand our membership in the Casey demographic.I'm not sure what the right fit will be. Maybe supporters who drive Range Rover Utes doing burnouts in the snow at Mt Buller maybe? It will be a peculiar mix, but a good one!

A little of the topic however: Did anyone notice the ad in todays age for "Run Melborne" Fun run (Sports Section Page 11 under Sports Scoreboard) ? The predominant Red and Blue colours for the ad. It was pitched to the MFC as an afterthought after attending the "Demon Summit" that the club should try and convince companies (and events) where possible with Melbourne in their name to adopt the Red and Blue colours.Therefore making the Red and Blue colours becoming synonymous with the City of Melbourne over time and vice versa. Maybe this was the first step?

To keep this in perspective , we started the week without a major co sponsor and now we have one.To me that sounds like a positive! In my view the "Glass is half full" ! I have no doubt Jimmy and team will come through with the goods with the 2nd major sponsor. You can't avoid or deny the positive results that Jimmy and the team are bringing to our club.
