  1. he got swallow - next person ranked in their rankings going by that he'll get boyd as well
  2. no idea but some one needs to get him online - his got a second pick almost straight away. hopefully rpfc and scarlett are online - then its only 2 that aren't
  3. Strategic pick for me first - best backman in the league - too big a drop off down back for mine - not as big a drop off in the mids
  4. this wait time is killing me....... glad you shortened it JA
  5. 10 minutes to go and counting.....last 20 minutes have taken forever....
  6. looks great to me B) cannot understand how anyone doesn't like the red on it
  7. JA just wondering if would worthwhile shortening 30 minutes to say 10-15, most people will be online for atleast this first day, so if takes the full quota of time for those not online - we won't be twiddling our thumbs waiting. I for one won't be able to do most of the midweek evenings as i get home from work at about 7.30-8mideweek. not complaining about that i'll do some rankings and get what is dished out by the auto selections. i'm just thinking the wait time might be tedious if it goes the full time quota for those not online
  8. the first time I can remember in a really long time our red looking really really good. Have always been jealous of the red on the bombers jumpers, the swans jumpers and even the crows - wondering why we could never get it right. Looked fantastic tonight. Bombers red looked horrible for a change - theirs looked almost orange to me.
  9. OK pick 7 for me up first.... whos going to be left at 7??? A Swallow is who they've got ranked at 7hmmm... could be a couple of dee's going early though... might end up with swan or sandi then HMMM... where's Burgo's phantom draft when you need some inside information Jackattack going down in Rd1. Betfair has RD1 odds Jackattack short at $1.40 Jako13 $3.10..... i'm backing myself to pay for the end of season trip early
  10. have joined JA, good work look forward to the year B)
  11. couldn't decide on 3 so Green, Davey, Grimes (if he gets a full season) and Scully....... Col Sylvia will be top Brownlow vote getter though with 23 votes (don't know why 23 just 'cos' and its my favourite number!!)
  12. Cheers RR. I'm in as Tanks for Scully
  13. I think most people have lost sight of the ball. From day dot Scully's management has said that they won't be looking at any deals until the conclusion of this year. The reason isn't GWS, or maximising his potential under the current Bargaining Agreement/Salary Cap - but rather to wait for the new TV rights deal and the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. No manager worth his socks would agree to terms in the early part of this year without the knowledge of what these 2 things will do to the Salary Cap and therefore the maximum that they can get for their client (& therefor themselves!!) The new proposed Billion dollar TV rights deal will significantly change the landscape for player contracts - the Players association know this and are jostling for an increased Salary Cap... hence bigger pay packets. Why would anyone let alone our own Tom Scully sign anything until this is known. Calm down people, move on, footy is back Friday night, lets revisit this once the Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached
  14. Can't wait to sing KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE RED, BLUEAND GREEN
  15. Grimey for me.... Get in early on the future long term skip (And on a side note dated his cousin a few years back, so has good memories attached )
  16. did someone say Jack Watts????........ Has he signed?? OMG he must be going to GWS too! Chicken Little is running around yelling the sky is falling! Please people calm down. Tom Scully is 50% of the way through his first AFL contract, its prior to christmas on the lads first full pre-season and the demonland know-alls are worried the fact he is yet to sign 2nd contract and Kevin f$%ken Sheedy is running around saying we're looking at everyone. They can look all they bloody well want. All of our kids realise something special has started - they ain't going nowhere in a hurry... And if they do to go double their salary - good luck to them, its their livelihood, they're looking after their own future in the business of football. However if one should happen to fall it will not be the end of the MFC, it will not be the end of our "premiership window", and if they go they will be shooting themselves in their own foot by missing the MFC "premiership window" and quite probably a very lucrative life after footy... but i highly doubt we will lose anyone of note - maybe someone like Maric if he can't crack some continuous games would look for 'more opportunities' but none from the 'premiership core' End rant
  17. Looks like the kid can play B) Claremont vs East Perth match review
  18. top 10 draftee, Key position forward... Hell I'd ahave a touch of the FIGJAMS as well! (actuall come to think of it... i do anyway , anywho...) I don't know about anyone else, but like some ARROGANCE in my footballers - especially the key forwards. Think Jakovich, Carey, Modra, Brereton... the list goes on. Jack Riewoldt was told to pull his head in by Cuz last preseason, it was getting just a bit too big for his body - ended up with a Coleman - Thorp was taken 7 picks ahead of Riewoldt.... if he can play to that ability - ha can have bit of arrogance! Its about time we as a football club got a bit arrogance.. a bit of good old fashioned C&^t about us again. I'm sick to death of us playing the nice little brother. We need to start kicking some of those other sides as we march up the ladder, let them know we mean business and they can cop an earful while we're at it.
  19. The Collingwood boys were raving on earlier this year about getting maximal heart rates/effort for less work while in the camps, therefor less 'wear & tear' on the joints/muscles. So when the extra red blood cells were gone their base level was better with less soft tissue injuries. The psychological aspects are well documented
  20. Get a T-box and watch on the tv..... works a treat B)
  21. Of course he is :-) so was his dad and before him his dad as well. I'm a 35 year old 4th generational demon... This is the first time in my lifetime that a sense of a successful era is coming... the demon is awakening
  22. Just bought both the Red Fox and Barassi for my dad for christmas pressies - I can't wait to start reading them over the summer..... when i can get them back to read - is it wrong to buy him something that really is just so i can read them
  23. Opens the door for Gysberts, Tapscott, Bail, Please, Strauss et al. Has to be a good thing. We will be a better side for his departure. Go Dee's
  24. Best of luck to him. I know he's not everyone cup of tea here.... However I played most of my footy off a half back flank and strongly believe that a big strong lead up forward on the burst is the best thing since sliced bread. When Millsy was on song, presenting up high on the half forward line there were very few going around better than him. Unfortunately for him there wasn't much else around him or forward of him for past few years. Maybe I'm just a little too old school, run in straight lines kinda guy but seeing him present would've had me kicking in his direction 9 times out of 10. Hope for his sake he can etch out a bit more at AFL level, he's too good to be running around in suburban footy. anyway thats my take
