We all know?! All I know is that: 1. at the ground our docs didn't know how serious it was, 2. at first the hosptial with all its equipment had the same impression 3. It was only a second lot of scans/tests at the hospital that found serious issues. How is that 'badly mishandled' by the club? If Tracc's family think that they need to reconsider. (I could be ruder, but won't given they were probably traumatised at the time. But to still believe it and use is as an excuse for whatever...?)

I keep clear of footy journalism so I am totally in the dark about Morris. If Tracc's managers are leaking, why are they leaking to only Morris? What's in it for them to give him exclusives?

If as implied the statement was put out before the docs actually knew what was wrong at the hospital (or had yet to convey the bad news to the MFC, which would hardly be a priority for the hospital) then the family needed to have a rethink when they are less emotional. They must by now know that at the ground the seriousness of the injury was unknown, nor did they get it right initially at the hospital?

I agree that if bumping (footy act with due care, not thuggery) is allowed then it is unfair that the punishment should depend on the outcome (though if you look at the law generally, this is common). The resolution of this will be the total ban on bumping. That will make gentle shepherding another realm for the umpires and MRO to be confused about.

As to his lack of travel - maybe he has critical medical appointments - who knows. But I agree his lack of congratulating the team on the win is a bad sign. But would it actually go down well with any team he might be hoping to join? Might be more going on than any of us knows.

I'm amazed that anyone could infer that from the question he was asked (Going?) and his immediate reply (Nah!) followed by the 'sort this out at end of year' type remark. Are you joking? Initial response was an enthusiastic YEAH. Followed by a vague remark that read to me as “holy [censored]. My manager will be [censored] off my saying that in contract talks”. Sorry, I got that the wrong way around. He was asked "you're not going anywhere?" and replied Nah enthusiastically. Some people seem deermined to read the worst into everything.

Why are some here so confident that the leak was from some MFC ne'er-do-well? Where is the evidence? (beyond some people always thinking the worst of the club)? Could have come from anywhere between Melbourne and South Australia.
