  1. And pinched from Bob Murphy’s book, amazingly.
  2. Tuning up with PF tonight, GF tomorrow night and Sat afternoon re-celebration at a Richmond pub with my mates I used to go to the footy with.
  3. This is spooky. I was given Bob Murphy’s book a few years ago, but didn’t really feel like reading it at the time. After we won the GF I picked it up - I think I probably would have felt jealous reading it before then. Here’s how he describes the moment he knew the Bulldogs had won the flag. How those words came back to haunt the Bullies six years later.
  4. Imagine living in a football world where there's no Petracca From the Top Shelf, no Bang, Bang, Bang, no Despondent Hot Girl, no Daniel and Goliath, no Heart Beating True and Blue, no Daisy correcting BT, no tears on Goody's face on the boundary line, no Bearded Demons Fan in Tears Covering His Throat, no recollection of someone kicking six goals in a GF for the first time in nearly 25 years - that's the life of a Bulldogs fan.
  5. Here's an interesting thought. As much as we know every second of the match (well from 3rd Q 16 min mark onwards) by heart, and can recite commentary from at least three different sources, NOT ONE of my Bulldogs mates (and I reckon this is widespread) has watched one second of the match back. They don't even remember the immortal Bang Bang Bang commentary! This is exactly the same as me with 1988 and 2000. Was at both, never watched a second back of either one.
  6. Oh but we do, QD, we do…
  7. The only problem with this is it makes our biggest challenger, the Bulldogs, better.
  8. I love, love, love it. I would buy it for my daughter and myself for us to wear to most games - AFLW and mens. Does anyone know if we're selling it? Can't see anything in the Demons shop. And hopefully we make it in mens size.
  9. And Pickett for the wild card
  10. There’s AFLW for that
  11. It’s a procession of possessions and goals…
  12. The scoreboard seems to indicate they somehow were accorded one goal, so I assume so. It could be a scoring error though.
  13. And in fact, was not even in the conversation about the Norm really.
  14. I bet she wishes she’d taken the time to get her left arm tattoo finished for immortality.
  15. It was a sponsor activation, for Zurich from memory.
  16. Make that after the Prelim!
  17. I feel this is the end of celebrating. On to 2022, with clear heads, wholeheartedly and unafraid. 2021 is now history.
  18. I reckon that was Andrew Leoncelli, who did the Kick for Cash at Quarter time with Guy Rigoni, but for some reason he was wearing a No 9 jumper.
  19. Take the top Clarry and put him in front of the players from the bottom one. Problem solved.
  20. Rumour indicated a number of players may not be able to attend
  21. Fitzroy for our first in 1900. I’m surprised we’ve beaten Essendon four times, one of course after the draw where they kicked 7.27 to our 10.9.
  22. Sorry @Nasher, see you had the same thought,
  23. Perhaps not coincidentally he’s also only our 4th Premiership Coach - I believe officially in 1900 the VFL didn’t recognize coaches. Over time some sources took to naming the team’s captain of the day as the “coach”, but that’s only in hindsight.
