Our forward line really is a shambles at the moment. Walker obviously won’t help this year. If he were to come in, he’d only be a very short-term stop gap solution in our endeavours in trying to win the 2023 premiership. We have got JVR, but he is no certainty, and the jury on Weid is well and truly out (he ain’t the answer). I’ve felt for a while that Max would actually make a pretty decent fist of it as he goes into the twilight of his career as a forward/ruck, but for that to work, we need to have ourselves a #1 ruck take over Max’s mantle (Dogga, if he decides to stay).

At least put one of them up forward for a different dynamic. Sparrow, Pickett and Spargo should all be dropped for their inept games.
