  1. Just tell everyone you're being ironic or post modern...
  2. We'll know how to better answer that when/if he finally cracks another senior game!
  3. Eeeurgh, not very exciting. Good to see Davis finally get a chance though
  4. ha, didn't realise it was on the stock exchange. surely you can't go wrong in investing in a brothel!
  5. https://www.facebook.com/mitchclarkphotography
  6. If he's so good why has he only played 3 games this year? I know he's been doing well in the reserves but that's eerily similar to the Pedersen situation and we know how that's turned out...
  7. CHANGES TO PERSONNEL FROM THAT MATCH COMPARED TO LAST WEEKS LINEUP: IN - Davey, Clisby, Dawes, Trengove, Grimes, Pedersen, Toumpas OUT - Nicholson, Bail, Evans, Frawley, McKenzie, Strauss, Sellar Hmm.. not much difference unfortunately
  8. Yeh speaking of that denial! http://www.sportsnews.com.au/afl/bombers-seeking-legal-advice/82120
  9. Good call by the original poster Western Bulldogs 16.15 111 West Coast 13.11.89 If west coast would have miraculously scraped into the 8 they would have played an away elimination final... so instead they'll finish 13th (brisbane will overtake them as voss playing for career)
  10. I think it'd also be worth checking how our opposition from the Darwin game fared the next game after as well
  11. Shouldn't really be taking a speculative pick in the 30s though? Think you'd save it for later in the draft
  12. "As of December 2012 stats provided by Champion Data show that of the 2179 players to have been drafted since 1986 (including those still on club lists): * 710 (or 32.5%) have never played a single game. * 932 (or 42.8%) have played between 1 and 49 games. So more than three-quarters of all draftees (75.3%) have not reached the milestone of 50 AFL games. * 292 (or 13.4%) have played more than 100 games; and * 74 (or 3.3%) reach the 200-game milestone." Obviously drafting has gotten a lot better so some of the first 15 odd years of the draft will distort the figures, but it still shows the fairly low odds of getting it right with every pick. Unless you're Geelong! http://backpagelead.com.au/afl/8020-a-national-draft-or-player-lotto-
  13. Happens on all blogsites... I mean it's not helped by the over-the-top comments from recruiters every year. After the draft they interview 18 clubs and every one of them says they're rapt with the picks fast forward 4 years later and only half of the picks actually make it past 50 games.
  14. I would have given them the benefit of the doubt but they left Cale in!
  15. well, they've beaten us 10 times in a row so apparently not that easy for us
  16. Good article on afl.com from Bluey Mckenna on selecting assistant coaches "People often ask how much weight coming from a successful club carries when you're selecting a coaching panel. The short answer is, a small amount. Sometimes blokes have done it tough in clubs where they've struggled for success, but you've actually seen growth. You've got to look at that. Sometimes a coach in a good organisation that is successful can also be lazy because, let's be honest, the players are doing 60 per cent of it and you've just got to turn up and manage the drills." http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-07-24/hot-gospel-starting-from-scratch?utm_medium=RSS
  17. Make sure you keep Roos hostage, don't let him leave until you've signed him for 5 years
  18. Are there any Demonland physios or surgeons that can elaborate more about this type of injury? I guess maybe even Clark's doctors don't know the full extent.. or aren't willing to disclose what they know. I did a bit of googling and there are some scary articles about career ending injuries to NFL players. Statistically most people who get the injury recover though... This site has some photos about what it looks like: http://www.footeducation.com/lisfranc-injury-fracture-midfoot-sprain
  19. I guess it's all irrelevant in the wash-up hey. I've always wondered who the players who play for a few teams end up supporting when they retire...
