This opinion represents our playing group/club mentality I reckon. A little bit of harsh truth and we [censored] up I have to agree with daveydazzler, I think we saw some passion from PR. get upset about an option but all he was saying is he is working hard at getting us better.... It may not have been the best description but it had some passion and that's what I liked

He's got talent But like most of our list you wonder if the have the desire to actually be good. We do need to support his development by playing senior [censored] kickers like Howe, garland, lamumba, Dawes etc (we all know who they are. Anyway the sooner we can get our kids to 50 - 80 games the better.... But knowing Melb we'll stuff it up and talented blokes will be underachievers as per statuesque

Honestly who cares... I'll tell u how the game will go no matter the personnel on the park. Freo will kick away early, Melb will wake up at some stage when freo have a comfortable lead and the pressure is off. Then Ross will say boys were playing finals I want you to go hard and freo will kick away in the last to win by at least 80pts... Roos and the boys will say we didn't see that coming, they'll review the game and say geez our contested footy and tackling is down. We need to improve. Then we'll go away from the club for a couple days, enjoy some time off then rinse repeat v gws

The main reason I want an apology from the playing group is because they (the players) want us to show up week after week Please explain to me if we as a club pride our game on contested footy why was only 2 tackles laid in the first qtr. I could go on but that rubbish on the weekend is so poor it's undescribable

I don't like to be doom and gloom Boosdog and I readily admit we are missing some players but the effort level yesterday was so poor I can't describe. We virtually got zero input from our key mids. Jones, vince, Viney etc....I don't understand how and why so many players can be off in one game. I haven't even brought up the [censored] weak games from Howe garland, watts, grimes and Dawes are perennial turnover kings. It was the worst game I've ever seen cross play for the club I seriously don't understand how we go from beating the pies to that in 2-3 weeks It was disgusting on so many levels.

Nah won't go If the players refuse to show up so shall I I won't jump off the club for good, but I wont support that rubbish

True I don't disagree I am more alluding that we can't keep sacking coaches every 2 years and not address the glaring issue that remains the same - the playing group Plus to say he hasn't made significant changes and improvement to the club is wrong. He hasn't been able to fix the on feild (which is what u are discussing) but I'm not sure he can be entirely to blame. He has produced 6 decent wins this year. Getting consistent performance us the issue and who is to say anyone could get that from this group ATM?

I'm interested to see what happens from here. I don't think Roos is the problem... It's too easy to blame the coach. Why put in and win at Geelong etc if it is the coach who is the problem? I wanted stability at the club and to keep growing but I'd the playing group won't respond get a new playing group Howe Garland Grimes Dawes Watts The list goes on are just not good enough. They r good blokes and some.have beenngood servants but let's get tough. You can't get rid of them all but let's take a bloody stand

I've heard this as well. I've thought about it a little and ask myself who would I rather back? The [censored] weak playing list who gives up (and this is not the first time) Or a coach who has a distinguished career at lower clubs like ours and is regarded highly. . It's not even a question is it? F the playing group its a shame we can't deljst them all

Cool Maybe u can explain to us what's happening down there ATM and why they're energy levels are sub par across the board? We got more out of 10 game players then the senior leadership group combined yesterday Please enlighten me with their excuses

100% agree I'd personally keep jones, Vince and Tmac but the sooner we rid the mentally weak players the better Edit - just reread f$&@ Dawes if he doesn't mark he is useless and he doesn't mark a lot

I firmly believe the club has to bow it's head and apologise to the members. We want honest answer to why we should continue supporting this club Because I've had enough. Today is the last straw Carlton have been [censored] all year and they embarrassed us

Let's put how poor this is in prespective Carlton are last They have lost to gc lions etc They had at least 2 on the bench for the second half They convincingly beat us in pressure acts which we as a team are meant to be proud of Disgusting effort There are some senior players on our list which we need to rid but we won't because we are [censored] weak

God they r [censored] I've never seen a team able to [censored] up basic passages of play so often....

. An apology won't achieve anything I agree 100%I just want something for my membership because I'm getting SFA right now

It's just so poor on multiple levels Carlton are last on the ladder, there is no excuse they just haven't turned up. It's so obvious the players don't care The club needs to make a stand. I get it if it's a tough season and they've run out of puff but come out apologise and be honest or I'm going to stop supporting this club because today is not acceptable

I don't normally rant and rave and start threads complaining but today is the last straw. I want an apology from the playing group and a proper explanation to why they decided to give up or not try against the bottom of the club side. There is no pressure no taclking no running and no leadership. After years of being a member and watching every game I've had enough and I won't renew my membership unless I get an apology from the club players. This performance is utter [censored]

A lot going Carlton's way atm. But seriously embarrassing effort as well. Some of our senior leaders are [censored] weak

Agree Pates The inconsistency at the moment is the most frustrating as we have dropped a couple we should have won but in saying that we won a couple we probably shouldn't have. As much as we're carrying a few older blokes we need the experience to bring through the younger boys which is another reason why Roos may not be as successful as we hoped. I think it's safe to say Roos may not be the messiah but he is the first step on a long road. And for what its worth I think he's been worth the money - he's brought stability, direction, development and time will tell but I hope a base for success
