  1. If you are looking for a good summary of the night then do yourself a solid, and read Angry at Casey's report... Spot on! After a long and boring drive from Adelaide we got to the ground just before the first bounce. I won't do a full report as my eyes were hanging out of my skull and I was coming down off the caffeine I'd ingested on the drive. Petracca - Moves like a mountain lion stalking his prey, then pounces and hits like a train. Oppo players definitely don't like him and he is very vocal out on the ground. Didn't dominate and I don't think he'll debut until the Bulldogs game (howl me down if you want) Trengove - Smart footballer who WILL be back in the side once required. The end. Terlich - Run out of defence was good. Disposal was poor. Barks instructions all night and tries to show leadership but injury is the only way he's back in the Dees for mine. A poor man's H Garland - See above. Max King - Check out the replay in the 3rd for his scissor goal out of the ruck. He should celebrate by eating 300 schnitzels ? Weed - Should've received a ton of frees early but the umpires were happy to let him get molested every time he went for a mark. Strong at the contest and aggression is on point. Debut will come and could be anything but for now can share the schnitzel fest with Kingy. Grimes - I thought he started really well and at times looks well above this level of footy... It got me excited... Then came the errors of judgement while carrying the ball and disposal errors as well ? Another who on current showing will only play AFL if injury requires it Newton, White & Mitchie played ok games and I didn't really give them enough of my love to go into too much detail. Mitch White the better of the three though! Liam Hulett - Now this kid makes me smile! Tall, solid and moves well. Impacts every contest and has a bit of cnut in him. Angry & effective game full of opposition niggling and just all round bad-a$$ attitude... I was impressed! Anyway, ground was slippery in the conditions but conditions don't affect hunger for the ball and the Gulls had the better of that department. Speaking of hunger... Kingy & Weed... Your schnitzels are ready!
  2. I guess this has caught on a bit eh? If I see it on a banner one day I will die a happy & proud father
  3. Anxiety gone... I don't care where I sit and how many freaks are around us... When we're both belting out the club song at the final siren it's going to feel like heaven anyway!
  4. That is probably what will end up happening... Although I'm expecting a bumper crowd of possibly 75,000 if we pull a selection bolter... Whatever happens, I am just salivating at the thought of getting back to the G... It's not until you move away that you realise how great it was living in Melbourne
  5. This may be the first time I've ever seen the word "whatever" written twice in one sentence The reason for the trip is due to the fact that my high pressure job requires me to spend an excessive amount of time in "work" mode. This impacts on my work/life balance and reduces the quality time I get with my children. Hence this boy's trip. I am sure the missus will enjoy the week without the footy bouncing off the walls/windows/fences and can just relax with the two youngest kids Not sure why I am explaining this to you, but hey.... Whatever, whatever!
  6. Indeed he may, as he gets pretty fired up the young fella, but his mother will kill me if I don't bring him home safely
  7. Regardless of when CP5 makes his debut, I am loading up with Sportsbet on that match for Hogan to be the leading goal kicker.... The swagger they'll have is going to be amazing to watch... I can't wait!
  8. Well, I will keep this brief... I am driving over from Adelaide to spend a week back in God's country on a boys trip with my 7 year old Son. Staying with family who live in Berwick, so will be heading over to Casey on Saturday night to watch the boys, including whoever the unlucky ones are that miss out on the Richmond match. This is where my dilemma is... My interstate membership (along with my son's junior membership) gets us access to the big Anzac Day eve clash, but my wife decided to upgrade our tickets to a reserve seat... I love her for this, but am I right in thinking that Level 2 (N35) in the Ponsford Stand is right in the heartland of enemy territory? It's been a few years since I have travelled back myself and if my memory is correct then my boy's FIRST EVER visit to "our" home ground will be sitting in the middle of the animal pack?!? Any information would be much appreciated... I personally have no issue sitting with the yellow & black ferals as I will enjoy waving goodbye to them during the last quarter but my poor lad will spew if he is not near the Melbourne faithful PS. We are also going to attend an open training session the week after for his up close fix of his heroes.... But I just hope his first visit to Mecca won't be ruined... I thought this bloke said he was going to keep this brief?
  9. Yeah mate, that was me... He went for the reach around but I, did as all good footballers do, and just managed to lift the arms up and should've really got a free for "too high"
  10. I think most, including myself, are probably guilty of forgetting he is even on the list sometimes... He is no depth player on his day either... I am excited by what lies ahead over the next few years!
  11. If it is indeed a "wet, moist night" then it would be hard to drop Oliver who, as Clint said, has such good hands in tight!
  12. I keep telling his mother to tone it down when she's watching the football
  13. Just don't change too much.... I'm on my way over from Adelaide for my son's first taste of OUR home ground! Can't f'ing wait!
  14. One of the funniest moments of my life in the last quarter when my 7 year old son runs in and yells at the TV..... "Eat a bag of d--ks Howey!"
  15. I'm not sure which of those two is the worst! At least you don't have to keep turning the volume up to drown out the annoying sounds of 'Peppa Pig goes to Potato City'
  16. Not wrong at all.... I am driving over from Adelaide next weekend with my lad and am equally as excited about watching Casey on Sat night as I am about the Tigers on Sunday!
  17. This would make me a very happy camper as I am travelling over for the Richmond match from Adelaide to introduce my 7 year old lad to OUR home of football
  18. It will upset the natives over here in Adelaide so that will do me Having said that, the match last night here was an absolute corker!
  19. Collingwood VFL radio has bloody Nathan Buckley media conference.... His voice gives me the Jimmy Spits
  20. Totally off topic but thought I'd share what I just heard on the radio in this $hithole of a town in Adelaide.... Pre-game show with Kane Cornes... Kane - "There is a huge hatred between GWS & Port due to their tactics against our captain, Boak over the years... although having said that, the biggest instigator is now gone" Co-host - "Who was that?" Kane - "Thomas Bugg will forever be one of the most disliked footballers by this current crop of Port players" HAHAHA! That is so nice to hear as a Melbourne person! We finally have another cnut Kane then went on to say - "The biggest danger Port have put a heap of time into today is Tom Scully... He is finally starting to show what he is capable of now that he has put some more meat on his frame... I remember when I first played against him at Melbourne, I came off the ground and told Boaky that this kid is a running machine and easily the hardest runner I have played against" Not so nice to hear as a Melbourne person! Oh well, just thought I'd share a bit of chatter from the airwaves over here regarding the Dees!
  21. I think WADA should at least investigate the incident
