Seeing "Nic Nat" play last night for the Eagles was very, very impressive. I know that the commentators seems generally excited about his performance. I admit it does put a bit of pressure on Jack Watts. But we need to be patient with young Jack and give him time to develop. Nevertheless, I did notice on TV last night that they claimed "Nic Nat" can bench press 140kilos already?!

Thanks for the report guys. However, was anybody there at the Intra Club match who took any photos? If so, hopefully we can have them put up here so we can all see.

Hey guys, I just discovered a new Demons supporter group that wants to help with the long term future of the Melbourne Football Club! I personally think it is an AWESOME idea and we should certainly consider jumping on board when it comes to the long term health of OUR club the MIGHTY DEMONS! Here is a link to the MelbourneFC Future Fund website: http://www.mfcfuturefund.com.au/

Yeah it was a good look! He was a fantastic player and very courageous. Shame about his kicking though.
-
I won't be able to do it unfortunately. But hopefully there will be at least one fanatical Demons supporter who can get out to Casey Fields at 8am and take a few photos with their digital camera?
-
Fantastic job there mfcrox! However, I would make the red "V" yoke even sharper and make it go down even lower....perhaps another 2 or 3 cms to where the point is. Here is a good example of a Melbourne jumper (even if the picture is in black and white). Notice how far down the point on the red "V" yoke goes? Personally I would LOVE to see the Demons have a collar on their jumpers too....but that may be a bit too "old school" and may be a possibility for a 1950s/1960s style Heritage round jumper perhaps? I would also create a long sleeved jumper design which has red cuffs on the ends of the sleeves. That is VERY traditional in the minds of many, many Melbourne supporters (including myself). We also need to have 2 "clash" jumper designs a predominately Red one and another which has White in it...possibly using a Demon logo of some sort. But yeah, keep up the great work!
-
Thats right! I demand they bring back the red cuffs on the end of the long sleeves on the new Demons jumper!
-
SEN eh? Ahh ok... Cheers for that. Hopefully they have Ronald Dale Barassi present Tom Scully with his number 31# jumper and David Neitz present Jack Trengove with his number 9# jumper.

Huh? How did you hear this?

I would like to officially welcome back John Messen to the Melbourne Football Club as a mature-age rookie. I for one hope that he makes the most of his opportunities and recovers from his injuries. If he is able to get himself healthy and fit then he needs to do whatever he can to make the most of his AFL career. I wish him all the best of luck in what will probably be his FINAL chance. GO DEMONS IN 2010!!!

Welcome (back) to the Dees - Michael Newton
Supreme_Demon replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Exactly! I agree....this is your LAST CHANCE Michael Newton! Shape up or ship out! <_< -
I'm just worried that Luke Ball will be really immature and is likely to stand out of AFL football for 23 months just to spite us. Let's hope I'm wrong....

MFC Merchandise Collection- part 3
Supreme_Demon replied to Jaded No More's topic in Melbourne Demons
Excellent work! However....I'm not sure if it was mentioned earlier but wasn't the MFC established in 1858 NOT 1859? -
If we don't end up getting Luke Ball in the Pre-Season Draft I think Mitch Thorp MAY be a strong possibility. However, it will depend on his attitude, his fitness and how well he has recovered from his injuries. I wouldn't rule out Jesse Smith either....
-
Soooo.....does that mean the Demons will get some silverware?
-
I agree! Wouldn't it make sense if the players actually started moving into the Casey area? That way they wouldn't need to drive as far. If you LOVE Footy and you LOVE the Demons then you would drive ANYWHERE!
-
Such negativity! Who else is worthwhile taking in the Pre-Season Draft then?
-
MUHAHAHAHA! :D I knew the Collingwood deal would fail! Now all the Demons need to do is convince Luke Ball that coming to the Demons is genuinely worthwhile. Lets hope Dean Bailey and Co arrange a meeting with him. Explain to Luke that there is a great opportunity here at the Demons if he wishes to take it. That is the hard part.....
-
All the Demons need to do is sit back and wait to see who slips through to the Pre-Season Draft. Personally I would love to see the Demons snatch Luke Ball! :D Although we could be REALLY sneaky and purposely waste time with ridiculous offers for trades today and tomorrow? However, I don't think we would sink to that level. I know Carlton and Collingwood would do under-handed tactics like that. <_<
-
Getting Luke Ball at the Demons via the Pre-Season Draft would be a MASSIVE coup for the club! C'mon Demons...its time to be RUTHLESS!!!
-
Well it seems that Luke Ball is fed up with his treatment at St. Kilda and wants to head over to the "filth" aka Collingwood. Here is the link to the article: http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...63/default.aspx Perhaps if that deal falls through the Demons could look at picking up Luke Ball with our number 1# in the Pre-Season Draft? Anyways, it will be interesting to see what happens.
-
I like the idea of going back to the traditional Red and Navy Blue colours for the Melbourne jumper. Hopefully we DO have a collar on the jumper. I would also like to see the red cuffs added to the long-sleeved jumper. Just like the Demons used to have in the 1990s.
-
I'm really annoyed with Robbo's comments. He should be a lot more mature about the situation. Being all "bitter and twisted" is not the way to go about things. If anything Robbo should be concentrating on getting himself really super fit and trying out with the Bulldogs or looking towards a media career. Badmouthing the Club that gave him a chance to play AFL football is pretty disappointing and shows lack of respect to the Demons supporters who cheered him on over his 226 games. Grow up and move on Robbo.
-
Well so far he has "won" back-to-back wooden spoons for the Demons. Lets hope we have a few more wins next year and we see some genuine improvement. Otherwise, many Demons supporters (especially my Dad) will be calling for him to not have his contract extended. Nevertheless, I will give Dean Bailey the benefit of the doubt.
-
Thank you for all the information Davis333. Who would you personally prefer out of those guys? I think we need to take a Key Position Forward or a Key Position Defender. Nevertheless, it should be "best player available" for the MFC.
