As long as there is internal stability, everything will be alright.
We might just screw the coach, but our mates in admin will be protected..... again!
Move along, nothing to see

As for Schwab now staying out of football department.
On radio today:
I go to some or the leadership group meetings just to see what happens.
"Just to see what happens"..... Yeah right.

If Schwab had any decency he would resign.
He doesn't and he won't

Our trouble starts at the top.

Jack, given an injury free run will be a star.
As it is he is underdone and should have at least another run at Casey (hell, even Hodge fronted up for Box Hill). Jack will most likely have an average game and even more likely will be crucified by the peanut gallery.

Now that is sad.........
Well it would be if I was being at all serious

And I lost 83 likes for my one post that went through my criticisms of Schwab step by step....

DM - so what now?
MN - no idea, just wish I saw this coming

Haven't been impressed with what I'd seen of him through the preseason, was told to wait till the real stuff started before judging him.
Sadly, my opinion has gone downhill.

I have nothing personal against Mark Neeld. He's probably a terrific bloke but he is a poor coach. His record speaks for itself. 1 win and 19 losses against legitimate opposition. And a stack of heavy losses amongst those 19 losses. The club is always bigger than any individual. The same rules apply to him as they do to everyone else.
.
Looked into the 1/19 a bit deeper.
Points for - 1307 (ave 65.35)
Points against -2302 (ave115.1)
% over these 20 games 56.78%
No scores above 90 points, 4 in the 80s, 5 in the 70s, 3 in the 60s, 4 in the 50s, 3 in the 40s and a score in the 30s.
In 16 out of 20 games, our opponents have scored over 100, 3 scores in the 80s and one ine the 50s.
Hard to sugarcoat such damning stats

Would vote if there was just an option for Schwab

Just playing it at the wrong time.
Would be more apt if he came onto the ground 5 minutes into the third and played the signal to retreat!

- The FD (MN) leaves Davey out, who IMO had a pretty decent pre season and has a bit of toe still left in him and decent disposal by foot and can still run a player down on occasions (read perceived or real pressure on the opponents to make a quicker decision...ie hopefully panick a little). Couldn't have been worse than some of the lead foots we had on the park today anyway.
- [*]Garland is a liability in this team atm and def not up to AFL standard at this point (as are a number of others who played in defence today) and should be replaced directly by Sellar as soon as Dawes returns.
[*]Swap T Mac in for Watts when ready but in a shut down accountable role that we know he is good for.
[.
Hate to cherry pick a good post, but saw a bit of the preseason and Davey definitely did not deserve to play, that was a correct call.
Sellar was a lot worse than Garland, whether it be fumbling chest marks in attack early in the game or neglecting to punch in the last line of defence, instead going for a chest mark, letting his port opponent take a mark in front of him was an out and out disgrace. He was pathetic today and should not play next week. Dawes in for him, Tommy Mac for Gillies, another who was much worse than Garland.

'Not even 186', you're getting a little over the top there.
It was a profoundly flat effort and shameful at a team level, and there's not a lot to take from it.
My position is - he has a contract, nothing is to be gained from hacking it now or any time before end of season at the least, we have a whole host of new players to get organised.
Also, nothing is to be gained from the weak sniping or speculation that just gives the media a cue on the angle to take their own weak sniping from.
If there's one thing I could ask of people, it'd be play the ball.
But the way we are coached, we can't get the ball, so how are we going to play it...

Get off Jacks back people, he could be a champion.
He just needs a heart transplant

Absolutely disgusted with what I just saw.
Viney only positive.
Rest a useless bunch of spuds with apologies to the first gamers.
Fortunately my daughter made me take her home at 3/4 time (amazed she lasted that long), the demons supporters were streaming out of the ground and fair enough, the team showed they didn't care in the 3rd quarter so why should the supporters.
They are a bunch of heartless, dumb idiots.
Pathetic.

Have been a fan of what he has tried to do, have liked what he has said with the glaring exception of him pointing out way too often how inexperienced the list is.
Just had a question mark over whether he could actually coach. Today pretty much answered that question.

Why read them then if you've already blocked me? Geez and you question my IQ.... (hilarious btw, how do you come up with such gems?)
Hadn't read them. Just the last ones as I knew they would be responses. Get it chump?

You already are blocked, can still see how you are clogging the boards with a ridiculous amount of posts.
23 odd in this thread, 5 more and you may match your IQ

Only about 40% of the posts in this thread Stuie. Give it a rest, you really do help to make this board hard to read at times.

Is this hatred for Robinson fueled mostly by the "bruise free footy" comment??
Because he wasn't exactly wrong in saying we're soft. I mean of course, the guy seems like a total [censored], but he was kind of stating the obvious...
Has to do with his dog act on Bail in the twos when Wheatley was still running around

Drink driving is not a joke either, this forum seems to support it - I don't and neither does our justice system.
Pretty much nobody here thinks drink driving is a joke.
Pretty much everybody thinks that you are.

Not his family, anyway.
Not so sure, could have sworn I heard his gran down the street shout out "cop that you little..."

Again, can people please stop saying Schwab is not involved in the football side of things.
Above is what he said yesterday
