Yeah but you can walk out and hear the address.
That's something.
Fair point and had planned to go, but will go to Casey games instead.
Plus, don't highlight that you can go see the address or the AFL will cotton on that the fans like it and will either ban it or charge $50 to enter the ground at 1/4 time and 3/4 time

$24 bucks, 45 min drive and paying for parking...
To quote Darryl Kerrigan, "tell him he's dreaming"

Good to win one but really just shows we have better depth than Port

Don't really care about the result but would definitely prefer a close win over a close loss

Sounds like Port are doing what we used to. Handballing in circles in the back half.
Maybe we should start doing it again.
Get our possession count up. Should make some posters happy

These are really good questions, but I maintain the view that they can only be answered through fitness and a good look over a number of weeks. His long kicking for mine means half forward or on the wing, but he has never demonstrated the engine to be a wingman. My one worry is his marking ability - for the life of me I can't remember one overhead mark, whereas Trengove, Jones, Howe, Grimes have all demonstrated this at varying levels.
Watch his first game again

Can anyone recommend a place to park? I'm thinking of taking my 3 year old for his first Demon experience and will be driving. From the MFC website I get the impression that parking at Casey Fields is limited and could be an issue.
Any advice...
3?
My advice is to wait till round 1. Port better first up choice. Ground will be full at Casey and facilities not ideal, will probably spend game holding him. Round 1 will be against interstate team at the G. More space, better facilities.
Is my plan for my 3yo first Demon experience anyway...

Would have had a 2nd goal but he gave it off to Dunn for a 9 point attempt. Would have preferred he slotted it.
Would like to see him spend the bulk of the year on the HFF if, and a big if, they are worried about his fitness base after a late start to the preseason

Careful you will be accused of lying!
You have been accused of lying as 3 times you claimed we never looked like winning either game.
"Blind Freddy" could see we were every chance of winning against North.
Not opinion, just a fact
-
I am so sorry for offending you.
I am glad we have your wisdom around.
You haven't offended me at all, just don't appreciate people posting out and out BS
-
Must have missed that unless you are talking about the bit where Vickery lost it, gave away a free kick and a 50m penalty. Dunn remained calm, took the free and slotted the goal
For what it's worth I thought Dunn was probably in the best 3 for Melbourne across the 2 games
Dunn missed the goal

Anyone notice the brilliant chase by Spencer at start of game against Richmond?
Apparently he tweaked the hammy in it. Not sure if true, but he disappeared not long after this point
-
But we did not win either match.
Lets remember one side scrapped into the eight last year and the other did not make it.
I am glad we were not playing Hawthorn or the WCE tonight
Funny, after 3 times of claiming we never looked like winning either game, you have backed off on that lie.
Last year we beat the Pies in the preseason, what did that tell us?
Your knowledge of football rates with the quality of football the MFC have served up in the last 6 years...
-
You keep posting that we didn't look like winning any game.
That's simply not true, but hey don't get the facts get in the way....

Buddy.
Would be great depth in case Hogan gets injured

We never looked like winning either game
we did not win
the rest is just self defence mechanism so we feel better
Just BS, sure we didn't win, but for most of the last 5 mins against north we looked like finishing over the top of them.
That said, why am I writing this, keep telling myself I should only respond to posters whose knowledge of the game I have some respect for.

FFS, those going a bit hard, try remember we had probably over a third of a team in both games, who had never played with the squad before in anything resembling a real game, will need more than that to blen properly.
Other than a bit of first half vs tigers, not unhappy with tonight

As I said after the intra club, get on him for next years rising star!

So the blues did it twice?

Knew Jeff was replacing someone, he did well. Just couldn't remember who it was that was missing. Must have been another nobody journalist who thinks they are much more important than they are.

They were playing (losing) to get a home final. They weren't losing to have an impact of the draft order. There is a difference if you want to see it, but most won't, and I can appreciate that.
One of the dumbest arguments I have ever seen here.

I hope like hell Davey can fire up and have a good year, what I think will be his last.
I had been getting my hopes up from seeing him improve at training this year, the reports from Alice got my hopes up more. The intra-club did nothing to keep my hopes high.
He has his work cut out to be first 22, he definitely looks to me like he has lost a yard of speed but still has great skills. If he can stay fit, he has the ability to make our best 22, but his going to have to work his butt off if he is any chance.

Good to read a well written football story that's actually about, well ... um, football.Neeld takes pressure off young Dees
There's one thing I can't work out and that's the reason why Jimmy T's price in AFL Fantasy is so much higher than Jack V's. Is it because Jimmy made All Australian at the Undrr 18 champs and Jack didn't?
Probably draft position. Toumpas was 22 places higher than Viney
