  1. Tbh... it's always been my experience ( arguably.. just going on that lol ) that a good , better than good, forward just knows where to be. They've built up their footy Intel over years of playing forward. It's actually very hard to teach the nuances and subtleties. You can teach the theory but it needs a player who can read the game, the flight of the ball and likely outcomes.... all in that 'eternity' of time called ...seconds !! Some can , others never will. I'm not sure about JVR tbh as he's all very bang crash for mine.
  2. As oft quoted ... "hard to soar like an eagle when surrounded by turkeys"
  3. We wouldn't want a draw out west today ....
  4. I understand the sentiment but it is by nature a harsh industry. Participants won't be surprised that critiques will be barbed. You live or die by accomplishments and success. The dynamism of the competition doesn't allow for long held breaths. It's do or die.... and we're dying
  5. The players and such perhaps but we the suffering.... I want a daquuri... or ten ;)
  6. I'm not sure there are enough banana daiquiris in order to get through this season....
  7. Problem is .... you're both right... They might have been our best.... but they were quite ineffective in the greater scheme of things.
  8. Sorry Bing ol mate but a more inane suggestion I've yet to read. To take you supposition to any of a number of extrapolations.... If little influence.... why have him ?? If little influence ..get rid of him If little influence.... what the actual !@$@ is a coach for ?? I'm going to go maverick and suggest he is actually the MOST influential member of the FD and the place where the proverbial buck stops. And it can stop right now. The team already has.
  9. That's all well and good but the prime consideration is the team and winning, not Simon Goodwin. Hell, let's extend his tenure, he's such a handy chap !! Club needs to grow some.
  10. Because today's wasn't ??
  11. Actually totally related in a fashion. We had a lot of things go our way in 21, not tge least of all was we played an odd style that worked....but only then. The same ppl haven't been able to truly create a game that works for us since. 23 was close but we were found wanting by teams that had a better game. We are where we are . It's not an accident, we're here by design. It's totally relatable imho
  12. Let's hope so. But they might also just write off 25 I have
  13. (censored) pretty well sums it up Dazzle We played like [censored]
  14. What could possibly go wrong ?
  15. Gold... you win today. Unlike...... ( seriously clever humour 👏)
  16. You are actually at the place tge club needs to be. It doesn't matter what you ,I or anyone thinks of Simon either personally ( which is neither here nor there ) or as a coach. It's gone beyond that. It is really about how relevant he is to any success going forward. Should he be be in charge any longer ? The simple answers are he seemingly has no effect now and as such should be removed immediately. If this were truly a properly run organisation the Club ought to understand thus and act appropriately.
  17. Lost the players.... and about 25k members at this rate
  18. Caption competition What do you think Max would be thinking ?? Max is a very proud Demon......
