Delistings/trades at end of the season
You're probably right however what we need to do is to be proactive. Most of these types aren't likely to budge but the world's a funny place and you might just strike one that for whatever reason might listen to an offer. All is not always what it seems from afar/outside.The better clubs persist with searching. Youd be amazed how many very pretty girls aren't asked out etc because everyone presumes the knockback. Point is ...you dont ask...and you're guaranteed a no by default.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
You would think the club was all over this. I dont assume anything however as this is a situation nouveau . The AFL and all of it's constituents are carrying on as is this nasty WADA lot are just such an inconvenient imposition upon our little green pasture. They , from the outside at least, seem to think nothign of consequence will come of this and that the CAS hearing is just WADA being niggly What I do see is a whole lot of NOTHING. This entire subject is whitewashed everywhere. Where has anyone in the media ( with any real cred ) asked the awkward question(s) ? What are the contingencies ? What of any fall out etc etc? All you hear are crickets !! I have no issue with Melksham being a player of choice from Goody/Macca/Roos , none at all. Might not have been my selection but what of it. I do have serious doubts as to whether our illustrious club is actually taking some of this seriously enough though. I bet if you asked the club you wouldnt get a straight answer anyway. This of all things this trade draft is the most interesting aspect.. The WADA fall out

Food for thought for some; Are we all familiar with what a WADA ban entails. In short. ( i think WC10.10 is the reference ) ...You cant compete nor even associate with the club. Persona non grata effectively. The club could set up a futness regime....even fund it. Milkshake man would be all but a man alone. They all will be. Someone explain the sense ¥as well the expense) of bringing him on board . I'm interested.

trade period hasn't started. A lot is planned, even more catered to and yet still things can materialise seemingly out of nothing. Who's have thought Trenners was 9/10ths out the door let alone on the table. It happened from almost nothing. Opportunities will spring up with no real warning because the Trade period is about 33% intent..66% knock on/butterfly effectI wouldn't be printing up too many bits of plastic with JW on it just yet.

that is only your opinion rpfc. there is no precedent for knuckle rapping from CAS wont be 2years...im going with 18months with allowances for voluntary suspensions. Bans enforced from m judgement that puts them out for this preseason..next season and following preseason yeah.,.. theyre worth heaps !!

As to his abilities/potential...as far as that goes Ill sit on the fence. Goody Macca ought to know the ins and outs of this bloke. It's to the logic of entertaini the getting of a soon-to-be banned member of the illustrious 34 that has my head shaking !! I really think the club's being somewhat naive.

WADA have previously stated that all bets are off now re the AFL. Theres no Backdating. Only an allowance for the voluntary suspensions already undertaken. People get confused its not backdating..Thats what the efc brigade keep pumping into the media. Thats what EFC WANT !! EFC and any club with a "34" will need to prepare for pain Its coming. This comfort or otherwise that many at clubs are exhibiting regarding the toxicity of having any of the 34 is quite frankly amazing....amazingly stupid really. Theres still this ideal of ...we're AFL ...we'll be right etc etc. No Ones getting a Xmas present other than WADA/ASADA Any comparison to the NRL fiasco os foolhardy. A different set of circumstances.. Different level of transgressions and culpability , not to mention they co-operated and didnt hold things up every 5 mins.. WADA were NOT happy..let alone comfortable with all of this. The use of comfort will be by some one pushiing a player/club barrow. WADA were decidedly disappointed with how events ran but decided to put a line through it all and call it a day. They have done entirely the opposite with the case of the 34 as the hearing on Nov 16 will attest. Even then they will not have finished and will be coming after the scoundrels who implemented it all If anyone in AFL land thinks they can afford any comfort they are in la-la land !!

The thing is...get a player like Kennedy in and he'll give you probably 4 good years of high grade footy. Our own developing players start to come into the mix and you rely less and less on the imports but as you become a better team it actually becomes easier to keep topping up on good players as youre seen as a good place to play footy. its a process..an evolution

I dont think WADA do...cover it.. The AFL does. Whether they are paid or not, or what comes under player payments cap etc is for the AFL and the AFLPA do deal with. WADA's component in this is to say whether they CAN or CAN'T play. How thats dealt with afterwards is in most cases up to the respective sport or code.

I actually dont mind this...fiction /non...not fussed as a point of discussion. The 2 birds are speculative. WATTS is also really...will he/won't he ? Two get chances where where they are is currently limited. One gets to reboot. Interesting
