No one's been spooked. This sort of thing happens from a long way back. Dont get suckered in to believing player/manager/club speak during a season. The MFC will know EXACTLY what its doing

Gday Wiseblood...we often dont see eye to eye. Thats part of the wonderful make up of this form...the opportunity to have a different view Whether this finally transpires or not, it in a fashion, simply vindicates the stand some of us had that this was in all likelihood a much better than evens chance of occurring. And should it...what could /would/should we do about it. Some of us were pilloried for even suggesting such a thing . For mine its simply about a very basic maxim.. " never say never ( in this case footy ) " Id agree that some things are beyond 'not-likely' to the point of "forget it" but then a lot in this game falls to the ...."well, let's just wait and see" Should he go it's a very unique opportunity to upgrade some of our stocks. Chances are The winning suitor will pay whatever is required to win the deal. A bit like us and Lever An interesting off season ahead wouldnt you think Go Dees

I've been to Nepal a number of times. I've seen first hand his legacy and how the locals viewed him. Arguably not quite the Saint often portrayed but a very driven man who appreciated every step it took...and every hand of help it required. Conquering Everest was actually about the Journey. The achievement was the epitome of effort, but he understood every time you failed, you needed to learn why and try hard not to repeat it. He did take time to admire the views along the way, hard not to. He was focused, very. We need to be focused and almost as resilient. Shame Sherpas don't play footy. They'd go all day.- Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final

At least at the "Bluey" all the recipients will be in attendance ???- Brownlow Medal 2018
I stopped watching or caring much about this year's ago. The once revered award has become alas a mockery and a travesty to just efforts. Years ago though you may not have particularly agreed with umpires at games we invariably respected abilities in the main. Now ? No so much. Some seem to have a vested interest in imposing some perculiar accent upon a game. Some seem blatantly biased and favouring particular players. This is a shame. Such glaring inconsistencies between how many well credentialed in the game see things as opposed the umpires needs addressing. Well done to our lads. Well done to all that play as Chas would have you.- Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final

so you'd have Dockland as Marvel-less ??- Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final
They may not talk about it much, but they WILL care. If that doesnt burn a hole into the thinking and cause the many to have a good hard look at what went wrong then Id be quite concerned. They used that loss to Geelong as a pivotal exercise in going forward, i suspect they will use the prelim as some form of incentive. Whilst I would normally concur stats are somewhat over rated , in this instance it's not a stat per se. Its a result..at half time it was the SCORE.. Stats get you to that Score. I totally agree a goal here or there is not of much difference... but to go GOAL-LESS is actually different .Argue all you might..it's different. That goes into record Books...it's THAT different.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
repetition possibly...but not irony
