Is there a stereotype ? I think there is but it's not the one purported. I think a lot of folk like to get stuck into us because it's what lesser intelligent types do. Can't come up with robust banter....then just sneer and lampoon. But we're onto to you lot ( all other team's excuse at unbiased reason ). Where, here, despite our habit of throwing cheesy ? barbs at each other from time to time , still able to carry on a decent discussion whilst embracing ( in the main ) a broad palette of views. There's a very good reason that Demonland is most likely the best Fan-forum of this league. Other than the wonderful and diligent work to provide it ( thanks ) I simply believe we are the most capable of a learned and balanced review of ours and others. Players who play at the highest level are deemed elite. I suggest Dlanders and by association all Melbourne supporters must also be adjudged. I don't believe we are elitist.. just elite and it's because many of other persuasions are unable to discern the difference they strike out and proffer insult. Just confirms to me we are better. It's not the beer we drink, the wine we quaff nor the car our chauffeur parks that matters. It's that we are MELBOURNE and only we CAN be. Momentum and belief are very valuable commodities at this end of the season. Teams that falter and stutter are getable. Hawks this week...Eagles next . Eagles looked beatable ( still ) against Pies. Filth lacked then ( and last night ) enough avenues to goal. That not currently our Achilles. I expect ( oddly ) a very similar result to last time.

Collingwood are foolish to think they've got form. They only just got home from a very poor fumbling Giants. We crushed them. Pies will hopefully tire the Tiggies for us. Dees by 18 over Eagles

Melbourne by 18 Lewis is right. There's is a Hawthorn style game. Deny them the control with constant pressure and just like Hawthorn they'll fall away. Our game has to be at its Zenith but we will beat them. Beat them last time... we'll beat them this time. McGovern will find his day a hard long slog.
