Maybe those better placed to explain might do so. Whywould we necessarily miss out at all. There are two spots for major exposure.. the fornt and across the back. Both have excellent media potential.. Ask either of Hankook and Kapserky. What Im getting at is there are twos pots open.. One apparently a done deal..stil lleaves the other. Must be missing something here

So if some of these lads AREN'T going... Who is. ? As sure as sh!t someone is. There's lots of Lolly on offer.

Is it no entirely possible its simply that the CEO might be on that committee as an auto selection ? i.e not dependent on him being there, but if he is then hes on the panel, if not him then the next one, if on board in time. May be nothing to read into it at all.
-
Maurie...its very much dependent upon the man ( young as they are ) . Some take to it like a DUCK to water !! He has my vote. Not that mine matters.
-
Amen Brother !!! Amen
-
Well.. Mike led with my question ..Is it specualtion or is there a real offer. . The answer was very much more the former. Going to be an interesting story as it develops. Id be happy enough with Ross. Be a wake up call to a few players...hehehe

This ^^ JT is all class and poise.. You sense the others will follow him. He'll need a nuggety platoon sgt to help... and Beamers his man

I share this sentiment. The club wil lhave no doubt learn t from the Junior fiasco..( that of how to handle things..not the projected outcome ) Brad still has much to offer and without being burdened by th ecaptaincy will I hope return to some free flowing form. His 'older' presence around the club for 1-2 years would be of great benefit also. But the nature of the contract will need scrutiny. Id agree with DOF..likely a 1and 1 offer. If Brads clever...he'll take it.
-
yep..nutshell
-
Bee Eye En Gee OHHH !!! ( rest made pretty good sense too as it happens )
-
Green ...without the load of captaincy ought to provide some good value...OUGHT TO... its all up to him. Stil lif he didnt opt to continue it would make a mockery of the seeming unhapiness at Juniors departing. I think Brads getting a bit of a wake up.. its how we deal with these things thats a measure of your character. Much has changed since Bailey has left... the comfort zone has disappeared. That..is a good thing. We're now seeing the fallout of this event. Probably more to come.

most likely the use of the word "some" id suggest -
Garry reaction on FC was ..well curious if nothing else....quite bizarre. Not the silliest of suggestions is it. Well...everyones wanted a Lyon coaching at Melbourne for a long time
-
basically hat he said ^^^^ Very much part of what is wrong wrong wrong with Melbourne is seated amongst the entrenched ideas that some things are beyond either reproach or consideration. What is even more tragic really is that at eh end of the day...its all Greens fault... Had he performed to a level not only appropriate to a senior player but that of a captian through out the season then he wouldnt have found himself in such a predicament.. Has brough [censored] on himself. kudos to the club for having the balls to suggest...this just isnt good enough, irrepsective of whom anyone is.
-
Think about this idea carefully..... and then consider Green. The clever ones amongst you will spot the anomaly !!
-
sorry..this gave me a chuckle.. drier than a London gin ..lol

In case you were wondering about Colin Sylvia ...
beelzebub replied to ...'s topic in Melbourne Demons
sadly a salient point only too often missed by most.. I still favour trading.. for exactly the above We need consistency in our team, its attitude and output. You just dotn get it with Col.. more the poorer really. Leopard >>>>>>> Spots !! -

and a size 12 boot with steelcaps !! -
Did you notice in that article that AM didnt start to suffer as Id though until later in his career. Hed already built the body ..just had to maintian its readiness. Tom hasnt arrived at that degree of growth ( body maturity ) yet etc and he HAS ailments. Im not for a moment TS dedication to fitness etc ... but if youve got a problem...youve got a problem. It seems to be affecting him greatly already.
-
They reckon much of footy is between the ears !! Weve all seen at various times the skill and ability of much of the team , so it can only go to what they bring to a game in attitude Id agree...not much really at all between the levels of football..... other than one side really wanted to play and the other thought they had better ( for some of it ) Some of us have been saying this for some time. its all too cosey for many at Melbourne
-
Im not particualrly familia with Macleods ailment sother than a foot problem and knee surgery much later in his career. What problems did he have with knnes from the outset ? Doesnt seem to have stopped him playing quite that much...especially in his easrly days. This is very much the case with Tom. p.s AM could kick

Youve validated the argument that not too much ought to be read blindly into statistics. But I agree tat youve highlighted other players who need to get a wiggle on. As I suggested Sylvia epitomises our woes. Others that paint a similar picture are those you highlight. Its a worry isnt it. Of those the only one I'll give some leeway to is Jurrah.. None have a similar background or mitigating circumstances. But his output is indeed a littel all over the place. Many have no excuses what so ever. -
Whilst seated at your Ball.. see what the mysts reveal about his knees . His promounced and unargued forte is his engine. How is this going to go with repeated problems to his knees. Is there any dispiute that as a player in such limited time he has spend an untoward amount of it indisposed because of knee injuries or possibly more accurate repeated revisits to AN injury. How are the mysts ?

t beggars disbelief that you wouldnt. in many ways Colin Sylvia epitomes everything about Melbourne. He without doubt has some invaluable talent He can at times turn it on. Often plays way below ability He can often go missing, he can often show petulant immature attitudes.. (Did yesterday ) . Seems incapable of stringing games together , let alone a season.Occasionally and rarely puts 3 qtrs of good footy on . There..thats Melbourne in a nutshell. Until yuou change all of these then we're doomed to repeat ad infinitum our mediocrity
