This is a classic case of a big whopper getting thrown out there then someone basing all the dire predictions upon it. It would NOT take a year to build a tunnel. Caulfield races in 'seasons" effectively and there's quite a bit of non activity through the year. Any half decent Civil outfit could work around any and all constraints. There would be NO reason to impact the racing AT ALL !! This is nothing more than 🐂💩 scaremongering by someone with an agenda. Whether Caulfield goes ahead or not....its entirely do-able. Whomever fed the story to BETSY is on a mission.

Im not sure in what universe its more accessible. You know they never did build the rail to artic Park Caulfield, well Glen Iris is actually the geocentre of Melbourne.
