I stand to be corrected but I dont think we had any games in 24/25 with both absent.

There is an outside chance some kids might get blocks of games subject to fitness/injuries. King is quite good that way. We're not winning a flag next year... just bedding down our game... then revise. Jmho.

I'm not sure what anybody bases anything on when we/anyone doesn't know the complete list nor how we'll play. Goody had a game built around contested stoppages... and the the world moved on. King reportedly has a different game , very different , in mind. Our game of old was all but gladiatorial and British bulldog in style. It worked and then it didn't. I fully expect/suspect a style that builds on verve and flair, playing to footy strengths. A bit of run with pizazz and being efficient. A bit of intelligent footy using skill . Can we do this ? W t f knows ...and thats the point. We can't until we see it. You can neither write us off nor ink us in atm. About the only thing I can all but be wholeheartedly assured of is we'll be different. I'm looking forward to seeing what that is

NO ONE is the new Robbie. Not sure having Windsor as your name is ideal... Hopefully Caleb reaches his potential. Even better... hopefully King has a good appreciation of Windsor (🙄) and puts him where hes best suited

These reminds me of when , between construction careers.. took a sabbatical at the the behest of P.K. .. ended up in I.T. Believe it or not some of us engineers would get the semi official [censored]/dummies versions of the Official Tech Manuals. Why ?... because many manuals are written by the people that developed the equipment/systems. They KNEW each way from Sunday how the bloody thing worked. Invariably those reading the manuals were looking at some gee wizz bang new bit of kit or software. It ( manual ) made Jack sense.. The other "guides" held our hand until we did. Was kind of funny thinking back considering the value of equipment or importance of the network being built or upgraded. These books never appeared on expense accounts btw ..lol The point... we dont all get it and is always easier for the ones authoring it. We do appreciate the game 👍

So many of these "rules" never used to exist. Look its meat and 3 vegetables game. It ought not be that complicated...it never used to be. Now it's mutton dressed up as lamb with VCAT presiding !! It's far too over complicated now.

Im simply not a fan of most rule changes. The game in the 70's/80's was much better. The rules were RULES then. Now 90% is subjective... And there's 4 [censored] maggots and they still [censored] it up. AFL are destroying the game. These 'changes' dont help

Will be very interesting to see what version takes the field. Some players suffer a 2nd year slump... others, and I suspect this will be Langford, front us less daunted feeling even more comfortable with the extra demands of not just AFL..but the expectations of others having already delivered a great 1st year. If he can find another yard of pace perhaps. Another preseason won't hurt either
