  1. Another factor perhaps.. The ol' bird in hand worth 2 in bush but replace as One capable player now v 2 maybe in future. If we start to get on a roll we need to pump up the tyres and wind out the throttle ...NOW.. not years into the future. Ol Humpty would be of far greater value imho than stacking up the cupboard. Just my 5c
  2. Meanwhile Carlton finding itself in unfamiliar territory in the 3rd, panicked then immediately implemented full capitulation procedures. Voss later commenting, that was close , we nearly fell for the trap of offering up false hope to our supporters !! Recent sighting around Princess Park Drive.....
  3. Let's hope he does. Do I expect a straight answer ?? Even one with a look at the hometurn? Are we even out of the gates ?? Nah !!
  4. Just pure speculation Scan.. initial assessment.. Possible referral to another specialist for corroborating (or otherwise) diagnosis. Might need a secondary scan/assessment if not straight forward
  5. Thanks for everything Maysie. Always a #1 in my book. Good luck with the next chapter.... but dont venture too far from the G .. Cheers โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
  6. Casey !! VFL /AFLW Nuff said
  7. Open 'both' eyes ๐Ÿ˜‰
  8. In that case the collective tears of tens of thousands of Dees supporters will eternally keep that grass green.
  9. Neither were quality scoring teams but we certainly made it hard work at times. When we play REAL teams we will be opened up if that is the defence we offer. That's the point
  10. I get that.... but it wasn't the thrust of my thought ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜‰
  11. Don't mind that... But tbh id swap Pretty for May in a blink
  12. We can be better... I do like much about our new game. We can evolve both
  13. Well.... the weather... right.... ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„ Apart from Batmans unfortunate day there was a lit of good about today. Strangely ( or perhaps nor for long time readers lol ) many of the real positives for me revolve around the things that DIDN'T go quite so smoothly. It's good imo to find out these things at a real dance ( not with sisters ).. as we can see that these are things to work on. Some things, well quite a lot are starting to click some...mehhh. I thought against the Roos our defence was iffy... again today... there was iffyness. Over to you Kingy
  14. Bugger :(
  15. It's a dumb choice, no other way to describe it..
  16. Going to get very wet again
  17. Tbh... I've now watched that half a dozen times the Tiger was NEVER really in the contest... he was in the vicinity and just had his arm up to collect whatever he could. . Thats what I saw... happy to disagree Hard ;)
  18. Dunno about the 'lightning tracker' but the radar has more on the way.
  19. Very ..'sloppy'.. some players... you know... just take opportunities. They're around.
  20. Might as well abandon game if more lightning coming.. ( and it is )
  21. He's talking ๐Ÿ’ฉ 15 thousand tons ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Plainly nfi
  22. ๐Ÿค”Also ask is there a tpd ?? ๐Ÿ˜†
  23. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„Carlton ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  24. Irrespective of anything else I do agree Casey is a bit of a bugger. Fine if you're somewhere within cooee. I live on the Bass Coast these days and regularly travel to Frankston as well as use the dreaded Monash ( quite often ) I have a pretty good understanding of the area and roads. Tbh... if I were living where I suspect many players are then I would not relish that trip to Casey. That said its often only once or twice a week at present but if it were closer to a daily grind id seriously start resenting it. Casey imho is ONLY suited to the occasional alternative training day. We are the oldest Footy club going.. F m d ..can't we sort out a decent home ?? I can see the attraction of Caulfield. It ticks a lot of boxes unfortunately it seems to be ticking off some others..... TBH I can't see how a facility on the OTHER side of the racecourse can really be problematic... well..until you understand a lot of people who move in those circles are terribly precious and wholly up themselves. Got time for 'workers, riders and trainers' .. my old dad enjoyed the nags. We even had some at Epson... but the hoi poloi dont want anyone 'ruining' their turf ( literally and figuratively ) . I hope Red is right but I fear Old might get the choccies.
  25. Lets just hypothesise that this is still all a possibility. A 'hurdle' seems to be the dreaded tunnel. Apparently all the OTHERS weren't but this one is ? Is there a need ? I would say yes. If we're to be located in that bottom left corner as it were with playing fields northerly to any other infrastructure then direct , proprietary even, access would imho be desired. This provides quick easy direct access for the club to the training ovals. Tbh the idea of ferrying around players , or they're driving themselves to the inside is a nonsense in the modern day. They come, eat perhaps, change, train inside maybe, team meetings, presentations etc... and out to the grounds... You're NOT mucking around going walkies half a mile up the road. That's not happening. So a tunnel is desirous. Like the trivago bloke, do I really need to say it again... this is EASY. It's just civil construction. You have a plan, you have a schedule... you get to it. The only equipment needed inside the rails as it were are any plant required for terraforming. If were me... id take off the running surface at an appropriate location... store maintain the grass sods ( same as would for the cut / cover tunnel. You lay a heavy wood 'bog mats' over earth substrate. If its an extended time... replace grass whilst plant working... then repeat process to evacuate equipment when finished. As far as the training facility infrastructure goes this would be likely the most 'painful' thing to manage but of itself very straight forward. It's a problem, it's solvable. The rest is just putting up a factory/warehouse type construct with admin area and fit outs. Absolutely nothing new or prohibitive. None of this is hard. Some care to the track requires but again.... there are workarounds. Indeed if you were a bit clever clogs ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'd introduce plant to the inside having dug the trench and ramps for the tunnel. When needing to bring equipment out then refer back to the bog-mat process. If super clever you might not need to truck out much if any spoil just relocate it.. I.e use it as part of 'landscaping '. Any other soils sands required for ovals could be brought in whilst trench open and stockpiled. This is eminently very doable.... just that other little hurdle.... someone saying we can.
