  1. This is what it's now all about...... An absolute damning problem with past 'styles' was we gave everyone far too much time to adapt and setup. The amount of stopping and propping in the past would drive me to tearing hair out ( had I any ) This wont be us now. It's not about playing on at all costs as we won't. But we certainly wont be letting opposition's catch their breath. Many of the drills now are about ensuring there are options. You have the ball...GO!! .. something will open up, someone will present..or kick to the 'spot(s)' ... someone will be there. Dont think, don't wait... DO!! It will take time to truly become second nature as well as developing finesse and accuracy but belief will deliver. Can't wait to watch .
  2. I only attended the one session prior to Christmas and things may have evolved otherwise since ( inviting other trackwatchers to interject )... but thinking back in nearly everything I watched... the impetus was on forward movements... can't say I recall any overly lateral time killing stuff. Interesting now I think about it.
  3. Bit like a handover in a relay 😉 Gotta be quick... but got to be fluid and not drop the bloody thing.. See where I'm going
  4. Food for thought... a winning relay team needn't have the fastest runners.... they need the quickest changovers 😉 If we can transition "effectively" with pace we wont need to be the quickest players by foot... but we'll be an absolute handful for opponents. A lot of defending relies on poor inbounding as well as time to setup. Get opponents on the Blackfoot.... get into their heads that one slip up and we're scoring snags... you've half the game won. Good going Kingy...
  5. Wonderful stuff. Listed here are all the things in common with recent game style 1) 2) 3) Hope we have the fitness over the journey to carry it off as it looks a very watchable style of play. Lots to like 👍
  6. The problems are not design or elements thereof. Thats just engineering and design. We not inventing the wheel here. It's a nicey nicey warehouse type structure with gyms , offices and a cafeteria.. yep Rocket science right there. A second year Arch student could whip that up in a weekend... an amateur with sketchup could do similar. Seriously this is getting beyond a joke. That no one at the club is saying boo, that its all been 'walked-back' suggests another TFU . Process reporting ought not be sacrosanct. We aren't talking Stealth Fighters here. Honestly, how hard to develop a business plan. They're not a mystery akin to the Pyramids... they're an every day thing that competent people create, and in an designated time frame and contextual brief. That word competent keeps doing drive byes.
  7. Far too costly and needless. Cut and stack top surface... Excavate... establish drainage.. sub base. Drop in inverted sections.. . Pour floor. Finish.. off tunnel.. Lay sub strate to race track alignment.. Replace presaved turf.. It's really not hard. Could do in a fortnight. This is not an impediment to design or construction. It's just a bloody tunnel.
  8. From an engineering standpoint its ridiculously simple and quick with drop in sections. Done in racing off season the MRC wouldn't even know... be far too busy fizzing off people and talking 💩 File under red-herrings 😉
  9. Thanks Harvey, that kind of puts things into a perspective and not a cheerful one. I can promise you no Gov will go out of its way to spend money where there's no gain.. I can see the State happily using the disharmony to effectively walk away from any mou whether that was formalised or not. I'd happily have Caulfield going ahead. Not holding my breath. As big an impediment as any is that we have no real allies in all of this. None I've ever noticed.
  10. Sorry.. what they're intending to do with a privately owned piece of land can logically have no impact on what the MFC does in conjunction with a separate entity. Or put another way... this clusterfuch is entirely our own.
  11. Be surprised if he isn't.. have others to run the wings.
  12. I too would like to see Bill given a fair crack. He either does or doesn't. We "only" ( 🙄 ) need to change our fortunes by an average 4 goals a game to have a very different year. A bit sliding doors in a way but in our favour. First of all we WIlL play different and better. A more natural intuitive game ... reverting back in a fashion to belief and team-first. The likes of Checkers and Steelo will add a bit of consistency. Roo if he pays attention, and forgets speccies ... should return to a more zestful and dangerous player. Reckon Fritta might be the one to benefit most oddly. Some less slap bang wallop and more direction and poise out of the middle will help immensely and across the board. 26 will benefit all the players who have felt shackled and lumbered with a system that was too insular and too limited. Again.... imho we will surprise a few. A few players might surprise themselves... Roll on season 26 😉
  13. Red... I get that.. I also know Private schools invariably want and use control over sporting facilities. Given recent events that might be even more relevant. My point isn't about us sharing.... its that they would even desire this.
  14. Red... you missed the whole point. There's is private property. Most private schools look to USE their property.
  15. Interesting.... raises more questions. Surely they accounted for playing space within the land they BOUGHT ? Now they want to crib ?? 🙄 🤔🤷‍♂️
  16. I was going to say that..... but we're a long way from the 'Bool' .... (.though possibly closer to the bull !! ).
  17. No, I'd agree it's not. Appropriate in a fashion we're at a racecourse..... we seem to keep going around and around.
  18. Honestly... w t f is wrong with our branding ?? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Lets go waste money.... smh
  19. If we go back to a leadership group it will be interesting to see who's in it ( and not ) I think Hoffman is a rather astute addition. In many respects leadership has nothing particular to AFL. It's a mindset. Some lead, some follow. All required. Leadership sets the tone and culture. It's possible this has needed a makeover 🤔🙄 Looking forward to season 26
  20. Bit like Funeral Insurance 😉 ( imo )
  21. And you think THAT is why we haven't turned a sod ? Honest question. Personally I think ineptitude is the culprit not the Ledger
  22. Interesting.. based upon my own observations and commentary such as yours and 👻 I suspect Roo may be up for a break out year. King might well have high expectations of him and he's now being shown what you actually need to do (fwd-craft) . But I also suspect its been told in no ambiguous terms its up to him. Penny is dropping.... ill wait on games to see if it landed. Hopefully
  23. That was a long time ago Wrecker.... Needed a new red/blue wagon as wheels had fallen off and rust taken hold. I reckon the Tracy brothers moved better than our lot last year..... so yeah, bring on Demons Footy, flamboyance and all 👍
  24. Another bloody ripper Mr 666 😉
  25. Whilst I now have great faith and belief that the Playing side of things is being addressed and will compete well and fruitfully here on in.... Ive sweet F all faith in the club organising a pizz up in a Brewery. This has gone on far too long... far too many changing of horses mid stream. All the club can offer is old artwork and vague referencing to something that might be announced sometime. Aka 🐂💩
