Training Ground?
Any half way decent civil group could use cut and cover together with precast sections. The tunnel should take no more than 2 weeks...at worst.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Today's informative explanation ( perhaps ) There have been and are players, who by and of their own will can impact and determine games. Such is their presence and effect that they , all but seemingly of their own volition, change the course of a game. This is where the term "match winner" is most prevalent. There are the likes of Ablett, certainly Carey. Players like Judd, Lockett, Voss, Buckley Martin and ( I'll was my mouth out after ) Hird. These players could of themselves mould a game. Id even put our own illustrious Max in among players who can will the momentum. Clarry is, on his day, a very effective player. No one's really disputing this but his effect has required that other players be complicit. Personally I've never witnessed, nor am aware of any game that he changed its course. Being instrumental is not the same as being the cause. Then there are players like Flower. He's that good ( well was ) that he belongs in a very select group. Poor old Tulip played when we at times were.... 'hard to watch' . Robbie often didn't WIN the game but he was the reason it may not have been an absolute drubbing. Those who went to these games will understand perfectly ( imo ) There are others who were truly annoying to play against. Johnston (Dominator) ,Goodes, Buddy, and on. I can't bring myself to include Lethal because hes just a thug. Oliver, was a favourite of mine because he had a spark and he did bring energy to a game. But to be realistic he was as wasteful as he could be damaging. Ive no problem ( at all ) seeing him moved on. We will be better overall, as a team, as a result. One player i do think made a big difference by his exit..... was Gus. Now talking about players that can will a change into a game...well you have to go no further than the big dance of 21. Many will make much of tge bang bang bang but I do invite one and all to watch the game and especially the desperation and determination Brayshaw brought to the game...when it needed it. As they say... not all superheroes wear capes 😉 Thats it for me... had my say on ol' #13

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Fully appreciate that, and alluded to such. Got to walk before you run kind of thing. You need to develop the understanding of where and what to do first. Sort of with 'training' wheels and by that I suggest uncluttered. Once you've got the idea you can still look to execute this mentality in a game , even with more people around. You've developed the process. . Conversely or more poignantly in a coaligned education those feeding you are learning where to put the ball. That doesn't mean where you( the leading fwd )is.... but where you're heading. If you look at the top teams they dont necessarily kick to a player.... they kick to a space.... knowing thats where their receiver is heading. This sounds very promising for us. ( well to me ...lol )

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
This is good news.... actually , wonderful news. They're not looking to crowd the arc...letting fwd learn 'space' It's very different in a game granted but this is how you teach craft and patterns. Truly heartened to hear this. Yesssss !!!!!

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Tbh.. I'm not so much of the "good riddance" thinking, though i can certainly understand it. Im more a pragmatic ideologist. It's to me very much a "that was then, this is now" kind of thing. What worked , and in hindsight.... how on earth... in 21 is not what's needed nor desired now. Clayton simply isn't a 'fit' for Melbourne going forward. As it transpires he's not alone. Thats how things evolve and thats all I can be bothered concerning myself with in regards Melbourne is what's going to work, what's going to make us better. I suggested ages ago we needed harsh pruning to save the rose bush. And so it has happened. An often quoted wisdom is " you're either part of the solution or part of the problem" Evaluations have been made and acted upon. It's really just this. Take out all the emotion.... Just see it all with Clarrification 😉

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Mate... I'm going to explain something for you here. You know sweet [censored] all about what really transpired. For that matter nor do I. The difference between you and I is I can see beyond a myopic view. You dont have to be too clever ( so I qualify ) to look at the big picture and see all the things that lead to Clarry spitting the dummy. He's a prodigiously talented sportsman but he's not the sharpest tack. Again he's his own worst enemy. In many respects he's still a teenager stuck in a man's life. For his sake I hope he figures it out but tbh I dont really care. They are his and some other club's issue. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind he was one of the biggest distractions and cause for much angst for more than a few of the playing group. What he does here on in is up to him. It matters not to the greater well being of the MFC. You're very quick to cast blame to others but history always shows the blame ultimately rests with the individual, the one making choices. His weren't too clever. Go Dees

Wonder if this is on Kozzies play list too 🤔 🤔🤔

Farewell Clayton Oliver
You make me laugh. Thanks... I can always do with a laugh. The thing you persistently avoid is the understanding that the only person responsible for what happens to Oliver.... is Oliver.

For those who can get behind the Huns pay wall there's apparently an article regarding a Dees training camp.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
If you really need the difference spelled out to you you're not half as bright as I've allowed. One was a stand up guy.. 6 flags... captained the club... WAS the club. But the club was the issue. We're paying a bloke to [censored] off You can't see that ? You don't want to see that ? The guy helped as part of a team but he was also very much part of the problem. And we had problems. Seems like we were again a very compromised club. But hey... you go with whatever floats your boat picket.. Clarry.. rah rah rah Tbh... he's his own worst enemy. He is someone else's problem now. I really couldn't care less.
