Welcome AD - Why on earth would you choose MFC as your team? Most of us have the misfortune to have been born with the curse. Hang tough we'll come good one day. I'm always curious as to how/why people support the team they do - can you give us a brief story about how/why AD?

Who are our drones? What's their role?

T Mac makes his share of mistakes, but that's to be expected from a kid - especially in an ordinary team. Could be our best CHB since Gary Hardeman. But knowing our luck will be more like Paul Prymke.

Is he eligible for the Rising Star? 5 goals should attract some attention. Would certainly boost his stocks if negotiating a new contract. Shows promise but needs to do it consistently for mine.

I watched the game with a mate who goes for the Dawks but IMO has a good eye for talent - he had never seen him play before. He reckons Spencil has a touch of young 'Strawbs" O'Dwyer about him and could be a player. The other person I spoke with a few years ago about Spencil who said he thought might have a future was a former MFC ruckman who won a "Bluey". I rate his opinion of our list. To me he does look a bit unco at times but at others suggests he could be worth persevering with. The old saying about young talls ....

I reckon that's the biggest problem - they don't know where to position themselves because they have little/no feel for the game. There needs to be a concerted effort to recruit former players that, perhaps through injury, never made it as far as they would have wanted. Then again - who would want to be an umpire?

The least we could do is ask - that wouldn't hurt. It might also ensure the VFL gets its act together to fix this farcical situation.

I read somewhere a few weeks back that some clubs have organised 'scratch matches' for players needing a run - why haven't we been able to do this?
