  1. culley gets clobbered i50 and nails his 2nd - he's had an excellent second half
  2. mentha has a lot of confidence and is prepared to take his man on - bodes well for the future if he can really build his fitness base; he doesn't appear to be overly quick but reads the play well wow that was nice - slick handball moves thru the centre and then howes to billings back to howes to run into an open goal 6 goals 1 to a solitary point this quarter
  3. culley's height makes him a genuine marking weapon as a mid who moves around the ground jvr misses one he had more time to run in to the 50 and nail OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZE nails one from the pack with a big left foot snap from probably 40m out
  4. ricky mentha gets his second with a goal from forward stoppage
  5. fullarton really does give the vibe of a basketballer who is tall and so can be a professional afl player earning more dollarydoos - he just doesn't have the 'feel' for the game gets his marks on the lead as a rule, so can obviously get separation from his man no, cos he's earned every one by working hard to get to the 'right' spot and being impeded by his man
  6. at 3/4 time... casey demons lead 13.9.87 to sydney swans 9.5.59 el jefe has 5 goals 1 from 9 kicks, 5 handballs, 5 marks, 1 tackle jvr has 2 goals 1 and a massive shank from 8 kicks, 4 handballs, 6 marks, 1 tackle billings the best of the mfc players, alongside sestan, campbell, and the two forwards bonner and baldi excellent as casey-listed players, while hardie has been busy too i'd say we've controlled the balance of play but had some super sloppy turnovers
  7. el jefe! kicks his 5th from just inside 50 on the boundary
  8. hardie goals from what looked to be a solid 60-65m 50m penalty and now jvr has taken a very strong mark on the lead - leads hard out in front; CLUNK shank of a kick from 50 and sprays it MILES oof
  9. jvr is STILL going for all his marks one-handed such a bad habit he's got hisself into
  10. from @sydneydemon : Handling has been poor. Don’t look sluggish from the fence [this was in response to my 'we looked sluggish' from q2 stream observation] Jeffo! Confidence clearly growing 😊
  11. from @sydneydemon - They’re rushing disposals trying to play quickly.
  12. el jefe seems to be one of those forwards who has a knack for earning a free kick i50 - he now has 3 goals 1 billings is absolutely racking it up, playing that classic gut-running wing role and getting a heap of ball running the lines
  13. plugger mac not having a good game - dropping his marks, not nailing his passes, and now kicking into the man on the mark
  14. jvr very strong to get the separation and then double lead for the mark i50 but his kicking is letting him down quite a bit - actually true of the whole of the casey side; their disposal really letting them down
  15. I dunno if he has the ‘smarts’ around the footy to play the role He reads the play well and impacts aerially from a spoil / intercept perspective He seems to operate in straight lines as opposed to making intelligent decisions in the moment, particularly when it comes to with ball in hand
  16. From @sydneydemon at half time - Messy scrambled quarter. Lost our system particularly delivery I50. Looking for a reset in the 3rd quarter. Howes and Sestan busy.
  17. hard to tell on the stream, but it really looked like a lot of the casey players were running in quicksand that quarter i am fearful of a sluggish 'loading' game in mfc's immediate future
  18. plugger uncharacteristically dropping some sitters when under no pressure
  19. fullarton has no second efforts whatsoever
  20. he seems to be able to do a lot right but his skills leave a lot to be desired some dumb frees being given away to the swans to keep them in the contest
  21. from @sydneydemon : Jeffo 6 touches 3 marks and a goal. Great pass to JVR for a goal who’s kicked 2 goals. Playing well through the middle and in general play based upon the 10 mins of the last quarter that i saw via the stream: jvr and el jefe look like a great forward pairing at this level culley smart user going i50 plugger mac is twice as big as his oppo
  22. the @sydneydemon reports may be filtered through the patented @whatwhat say what glen iris / malvern border for easier posting purposes rather than instantaneous, they may be on a quarter by quarter basis...
  23. may + lever = our best tall back duo turner is learning on the job, just as petty did in 2021 plugger mac is there to solve the holes when they appear down back quite frankly, if it means he never gets back into the back 6 at afl level in 2025 and beyond then so be it; means our preferred defensive structure of 2 experienced + 1 L-plater is doing its job
  24. nope, they changed that rule when they changed the points allocation if gc17 can accumulate the points they can take any / all of their academy selections
