  1. 100% agreed that he'll make us s better side. Unfortunately also 100% agree that these decisions were probably beginning to be discussed 6+ months ago, that the Crows already have a big offer in the table, and he's also likely to want to stay at Geelong.
  2. he's given no indication that he's not going to remain trying to become a cricketer. he was a supremely talented junior, but hasn't played a competitive game of football for a long, long time.
  3. let's get him at the end of 2016. clearly we targeted prestia from a long way out. who else is on our hit radar?
  4. he's a jet but he's a 28 year old jet. would he make us better? undoubtedly in the short term. but in the long term? there are better options.
  5. tom lynch is a handy player huh?
  6. For Myers? I know we tried to get Heppell for pick 2 last year, but Myers one surprises me for pick 2. If he's one of the 34 wouldn't go anywhere near him.
  7. toumpas has shown nothing in three seasons on a senior list. lynch would be the second best tall in our forward line.
  8. They're saying this year and next year are weak as Vic metro is expected to be light on both years - skews the draft big time. Given that you can trade future draft picks for the first time ever, I'd expect that it will be a large part of the thinking around what to do.
  9. They'll ask and then negotiations will commence.
  10. Crows demands will start as Toumpas and our first rounder. If we can negotiate it down to Toumpas and our second rounder for Lynch and their third rounder I'd do it in a heartbeat. He's a very good player.
  11. i have spent a lot of the past few years defending, hoping desperately that he'd 'make it'. he's still quite a way off it. getting better all the time tho.
  12. if we don't trade it, i'd rather go weidemann over the likes of tucker. the preference is obviously to trade, and bring in the likes of prestia, bennell, etc. etc.
  13. really hope we take a chance on him as a rookie or some such.
  14. the player he reminds me has always been justin westhoff - he's tall and agile, a good reader of the play, not really a fan of the 'tough stuff' which leads to a lot of opprobrium from fans, and when you need someone to push back and play the 'quarter back' role, he's the man for the job.
  15. Depends on how it goes today. North are very tall. I don't think we can carry Grimes. Accountability is poor and disposal is woeful. If Salem gets thru he'll be back in, and I wonder whether Jamar gets a game to try to double team Goldstein.
  16. 6 Vince 5 Gawn 4 Jetta 3 Viney 2 Jones 1 Watts Tyson, Hogan and Howe also good.
  17. his second efforts have improved out of sight and i have confidence that when he has the ball in hand - particularly when he uses it by foot - that something good is going to happen.
  18. first win over the pies since 2007. sensational stuff.
  19. when even dawes is taking pack marks you know the game is yours.
  20. good ol' derm, calling vandemon's kick as a goal when it was clearly going to miss.
  21. nev does not look confident...and a lovely pass. c'mon skip...and that's how you do it!!
  22. i have so much faith that when watts has the ball in hand something good is going to happen.
  23. we're doing all the attacking but not putting it on the scoreboard.
  24. wish we'd had access to moore. he, danhier, hogan and the gws kids are going to be the star forwards of the future.
