Trade and Free Agency rumours
given that they're trying to emulate our 2021 set-up it would not surprise me if zurhaar - another wa boy out of contract - was a key target sideshow bob = tabener fritsh = zurhaar gawn / jackson = darcy / dog anb = switkowski [fwiw he is really missed in their forward structure last few rounds] pickett = walters spargo = schultz the one they really lack if lobb goes is a plugger mac type as that gut runner up to the logos as a chf they're basically set up behind the ball very, very similarly to us (three talls, a host of mediums, no genuine lockdown defender) and if fyfe can ever get back to full fitness they have a similar midfield set-up too

PODCAST: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
also, fwiw, i wasn't referencing a failure to win at the mcg, more so a failure to get chains of ball movement happening to the same degree that we seem to be able to do so at perth stadium

Breakfast with Simon Goodwin in Perth
I think the devil horns has to do with the way we set up defensively at stoppages Sparrow did it after his long bomb goal in the premiership and Oliver and Petracca went ‘yeah, nah’ and bang bang bang ensued

PODCAST: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Why do we seemingly struggle to move the ball at the MCG compared to the (near) identical Perth stadium?

Trade and Free Agency rumours
it's like people forget that on one knee grundy basically kickstarted the filth's season vs the peptides on anzac day - he was incredible in that game while clearly injured that said...wouldn't want to pay anything close to $1m a year for the next five to him i have faith in our footy dept to get it 'right'

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
alternative way to look at it... - angus meets oppo clubs - agrees to mfc offer - spins out media narrative that he's listening to offers; mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - does an interview with his mate garry on sen; more mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - announces new long-term mfc deal; even MORE mfc media exposure with pos op cost cynical, moi?

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
there's a myriad of ways for players to be able to 'unlock' extra income personally i'm all for them earning big bikkies; they ARE the product i'm very curious to see what happens - i think the current cba has player revenue tied to 28% of revenue in the game, plus a percent of club revenue above profits i think it is, but i would think paul marsh and the aflpa will be trying to increase that significantly next deal i don't know, but i wonder does that 28% also cover the aflw? i'm very happy gus is staying; as much as he drives me insane with some of his clangers, i think he's having a brilliant season and can play multiple rolls for the club over the next 6 years
