Lumumba has been a terrible recruit. Saying Grimes is better isn't saying much. Get well soon, Salem. wtf was with Grimes running 5 steps then turtling up? It was cringeworthy. Lumumba's first accurate, releasing, attacking handball was the highlight of his year. No class off half back is a huge reason we get so few inside 50's.

I've enjoyed all of these in the past, not as much as today of course. The point is it's a Collingwood broadcast, it's meant to be one eyed. The Richmond version with KB was hilarious last year when they blew a 7 goal lead v a the Kangaroos. Every team should get a go.

The simple fact is he gets his hands into position to clean mark so many balls, and he 2 grabs and fails to mark most of them. We don't get it forward enough to have luxury of dropping all our hard work. I've been a fan of his until this year. I like his work rate and pressure etc... But he's not dropping balls 15m out with a crumber at his feet like the old days. They're further out and costly. The other simple fact is there's no one better to replace him at the moment. So what can you do?

Even when we lose, apart from maybe Freo and Hawthorn, the other teams haven't looked very good beating us. We're getting the defensive thing right, and it makes teams look and play bad for big parts of games. Our problem has been with the ball and putting the score on the board. Sure we're not lighting up the field and capturing everyone's imagination like the Bulldogs, but hey, we made them look terrible too. We're still coming from a long way back, if you can't get excited or give us any credit for a 37 point win over Collingwood then you need a new hobby.

Whilst I haven't seen much from Harnes to get excited about, I think this is one of the rare times we've got the sub right. Your more athletic running types is the way to go, not the in and under plodders who come on and there's no athletic running types to get it out to. Hopefully Roos has seen the light, right before they get rid of the stupid fuckin rule.
