200mil opposed to say 3-5 mil per Etihad team that requires it, so north, Saints. Bombers wouldn't, blues wouldn't and if they did it would be 1 mil or less. So say at most it's 12mil for the four clubs per year. 120mil over 10 years. Saving 80mil...

If he is playing well then yes. He is not a physical player but then again nor is Gunston, Bruest, Suckling or Smith. You can't have a team of vineys. I was watching the cats game again and he plays very well and if that became the norm then yes, he is easily best 22.

Agree it's circular. We are just at the wrong end and the circle starts with good performances, the rest follows. If we were playing like we did under Neeld but every Friday night, we would not get good numbers to the game, nor ratings. The reason Carlton got them was the thought they were going to rise up the ladder again and be pushing the eight and when they are playing well they draw big numbers to the games and to the ratings.

With Hayne gone I'm hoping the radio stations don't give out the NFL scores, got to try and avoid it until,I get home and can watch the red zone. Annoying. I should be given Monday, Tuesday and Friday off to watch NFL... Stupid work.
-
Hayne train... De-railed. Now are 7 still going to show all the niners games?
-
What a crap game yesterday was. Pats dominated them. Tannerhill looked like a deer in headlights half the night.

I'll be there, should get a big crowd, I think 65k should be achieved.
-
Agree, but they don't think that. We need to make them think of us in a better light and that's done by having more people show up to games and play better footy so more people want to watch us play.
-
. Ah yes, but Carlton when playing well have big crowds, Melbourne less so, Carlton playing well has channel 7 wanting them in prime time due to big ratings, Melbourne less so.If we change that so we get big numbers to games and big numbers in ratings we will play Friday night etc. That is why Carlton have none this year, last year they got lots and put up poor numbers. Not misguided at all. Simply reality. Kick up a fuss, I'm sure the AFL will care. They don't care if we are strong, or saints, or bullies, etc, the want pies, Tigers, blues, bombers big as they get better numbers to games and to the TV.

Seriously... It's pretty much as I expected. Until we play good football, not just win, but play good football and when our "supporters" become members and show up to games, then, and only then will we get a better draw. The interstate games at the G we need to get 25k+ to each one to prove to the AFL it's worth us having them at the G, not Etihad. If we get under 25k (really 30k) in round 1 then the AFL will think themselves justified by giving the G to other clubs on those sort of days.

I was tempted to go GB, more tempted to choose the Jets. Have a feeling they will have a road win this week.

Teams won't commit players to a essentially meaningless game. Imagine if we finished 9th and played that game and Jones did his knee in it. I understand the idea, but too risky for no reward. David King said the EJ Whitten legends game should be that weekend. I tend to agree.
-
Yes we play Saints at Etihad as a home game, not ideal, we also play the Bombers at the G as an away game. The filth play two home games at Etihad, it's not just us. One vs North.

Hayne looks likely to be benched again.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN

He had them this year... Next year he blossoms! -
Haven't seen that CFH. That's pretty bloody poor. Good that we have Tuesday off and the MNF game looks a decent one. Pity I can't IQ 7mste... Actually I'm not sure I'd have reception even if I could... Ha ha

I'll add to your summary Macca y agreeing with you especially about the bills. On the Rams, Foles and receivers need to clock better. Thank god for Gurley and Donald... Two young stars!!

It's true tho, Cats, Tigers, pies and the doggies would have expected to beat us pre game. Prob didn't lose to the other teams below us which would make ours the worse. Also in all those games we won comfortably which means we dust just fluke the win against them.

Don't forget with the sub going and the rotations lowering the land scape changes. Needs to get a big tank and fight for his spot.

Ess will get one, we won't as a home, maybe an away game. Can't see GWS, GC, Carlton, lions getting a fri home game, or away possibly. If the AFL think Ess will get little to no suspension they may get one later in the year. Saints maybe a home, but def an away, they are the love child of the bottom teams.

He isn't sprint speed quick but I believe his running speed is maintained for longer than most but it's his brain that gets him to the right spots. He needs to get more involved in the game tho. He can make it as a player, it's all there but he needs to put it together for full games and then multiple games in a row.

Just put the scores of the games we win as the season rolls along.
