Last year it was McEvoy who destroyed us when Maxy was missing. He wont have it that easy this year.

We’ve done our own damage too STMJ. Both the Tigers and Hawks have had runs against them in the first two Rounds. I agree the next two games will be a step up, but in the past 12 months, bar some bad luck, we’ve performed strongly in “big” games. Maybe I’m an optimist, but I think we’re going OK, we aren’t running on all 8 cylinders yet but I think we’re building. I’d prefer we’re playing our best footy in August -> September as opposed to April.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was suffering from what looked like a heavy head knock the week before. The club said it was his neck but he wasn’t the same after it in Round 1. If it was related to the head knock, it’s not unusual for a player to have a poor game the week later. This is purely my own guess work.

How are we going to get rid of BT? its a disaster to my AFL watching experience.

It will be interesting to compare the changes to the respective sides. Even with Viney, Watts and TMac out of the side our inclusions and players that missed that game, Lever, Hogan, Lewis, Hibberd, probably others. We will be much stronger.

I noticed this when watching the replay too. I assumed it must’ve brushed the post but I didn’t notice the goal umpire signal as such.
