  1. I’m a big fan of Lachie Ash. It’s not the end of the world if we miss out on Anderson. Young also looks good but Ash suits us better IMO
  2. And the pushes to Ben “flopper” Brown. When are the umps going to figure out he is soft as?!
  3. Looks like Adelaide get pick 3 (?4) and Carlton get 8 (?9). Not such a bad deal in the end, if you rate Stocker which Carlton seem too (I don’t)
  4. I've been watching some of the highlights of Rowell, Ash and Anderson on the NAB league app. Anderson really stands out, absolute class. Not that impressed with Rowell - Oliver 2.0 but without the tricks. Good burst but kicking and decision-making not the best. Ash's most recent game playing midfield was very impressive and addressed some of the question marks around him - lots of clearances and contested possessions (in addition to good overhead marking, trademark speed). I'd be taking him before Rowell without a second thought.
  5. I agree that Richmond didn’t look like they got out of second gear, but the wet suited them massively. We are the worst team in the comp in the wet, they are the best. Could have been much closer if it stayed dry. Not that it really matters. They would have beaten us either way.
  6. He was in the top 40 All Australian squad in 2017. He has already shown he is capable of far more than solid.
  7. Essendon are missing only 4-5 of their best 22. Their injury woes this year have been exaggerated by the media. Collingwood is another story. Good depth.
  8. Umps dragged Essendon over the line
  9. Disgusting. Afl needs to fine him and it’ll be done
  10. Omac was injured in the tackle
  11. This. I don’t know why we persist for so long with players that clearly will not make it and will always be depth at best
  12. Disturbing. Waiting the year for free agency is looking better and better in hindsight. Can say I wasn’t keen at the time, though we didn’t know how badly this year would start (and that Moore would come back and play so well for the pies making May less of a need for them).
  13. Mitch Cleary is reporting 23 on track for captains run this morning. Team last week plus stretch and both wagners, minus may and sparrow
  14. Agreed. They have been very good. I’m amazed Richmond are this close
  15. Got a bit of a Viney look to him. Like it!
  16. Exactly. Player managers like their players to get to the clubs they want to go to. Watch WCE get Kelly in with a minimum of fuss
  17. Pick 5 and 11 for Hogan and pick 36 Freo then send 23 and 36 to GWS for Lobb
  18. Would he want to go to a bottom 2/3 side...?
  19. I re-watched the first quarter of the prelim this afternoon (first time since live) and Tyson was deplorable. He needs to go. He is an inside midfielder only. We have other depth in that area. There is no need to hang onto him and we could get a pick in the 30s back (as he’s still young and a decent inside mid). Get it done
  20. Nothing less than picks 5 and 10 will be acceptable
  21. By my calculations, Hogan is NOT a free agent at the end of next year. Can anyone confirm?
  22. Why not 10 and 20 for lever?
  23. Next year is a superdraft. Must not trade that pick
  24. If it's under control it shouldn't have any effect.
  25. You can get quality without giving up quality. We aren't going to get lever for 10 and a pack of chips. Tyson is replaceable with Maynard who hardly played this year and looks like being a similar style of ball magnet. Yes, we need more midfielders but we are very strong inside and rather need outside class and speed (which Tyson does not provide). He's a good but limited player in an area where we are well served. Btw, belittling what is a reasonable suggestion reflects idiocy towards you, not me. Thinking that Tyson's deficiencies can be fixed easily adds a bit of delusion to that too.
