  1. Well they just showed Max’s miss again. I didn’t realise at the ground how close to goal it was. Agonising, but I really hope it builds character and he doesn’t stay down too long
  2. Alright game day! Can’t remember the last season opener where I had such mixed emotions of looking forward to it and not being able to watch. See you at the g and I’ll say Dees by 18
  3. A lot of people here are happy to see him do well. And honestly, I wish I was like that. I hope this is as good as it gets for Watts at Port. I want to see a few stinkers and pooncey attempts at tackles like we had to watch for us all those dark afternoons at the g.
  4. Why is Wagner in? His selection makes about as much sense as nothing.
  5. Ah I already settled for that
  6. Would have been nice to see a Melbourne side win some silverware

I’m wondering where Mathieu is going to end up.
  8. Done and dusted now. Hopefully we can take a lot out of the experience and build some trust between FD and playing group. In the meantime we got a season to prepare for.
  9. Not happy with these. They are too clean! Would be nice to keep some traditions the way they are but that’s not the AFL way
  10. Like many others here, I think Mick is right. I don’t see this as a bad thing either, this is the time of the year that these articles need to land. We need to remember that we haven’t done anything yet and that nothing short of hard work and honest footy will get us where we need to go.
  11. We need to make the 8 this year. Gotta draw the line somewhere
  12. No more Inside Football player ratings from games? That's no good, found that to be a really helpful resource.
  13. Like many of you I pretty much swore off football after Round 23. To be honest still not really over it. Now I find myself quietly confident in our side but expectations are still being tempered. I don’t want to go through last year again so just trying to keep those emotions in check while looking forward to footy again. It’s a strange position to be in but that’s just the way it is
  14. Great news! Something Mitch offers is the ability to just get the ball to his boot and put it in the vicinity of the goal. To use a soccer term he turns a half chance into a goal quite naturally.
  15. Happy birthday Ron! Let’s get that flag!
  16. I was actually impressed with Oscar. Sure he did get done for a few holds but I thought he showed more confidence with his kicking and hit some key targets. There’s gonna be time when he’s playing above his weight but hopefully having someone like Lever there to block up the holes will free him up a bit.
  17. One of the main things I took out of it was most certainly Fritsch. Got a great eye for the ball in flight, it’s gonna be tough but I’d really like to see him get a shot in Rd 1
  18. I'd really like to see Fritsch get a run. He's making all the right moves by the sound of things and this should be a youngsters hitout anyway.
  19. I’m happy with it. 4 is probably the max I’d have
  20. Great news. Obviously would have liked a slightly longer deal but this is the way it is. Gonna be well placed for a bumper deal come 2020.
  21. Say what you will, It's nice to win something
  22. Just watched the replay. Great performance! Good to have Paxman back with the 21 disposals
  23. I really hope we can put on a decent showing in this game. I know the big three is scary but we shouldn’t fear them.
  24. The problem is the runners that get involved too much and stay on for longer than necessary. Not quite at the ditch them level yet but getting there.

What a Superbowl! Always seems to come down to little moments and the Brady fumble was one of them. Game of inches. On to free agency and the draft which can sometimes be as exciting as the games. Stoked my 49ers have locked up Jimmy G for 5 years. Paid up big but that’s what it takes now to get a franchise signal caller. Gonna be a great battle in the NFC West for years to come with Mcvay-Goff and Shanahan-Garoppolo. Pete Carroll and the Seahawks will have their work cut out!
