GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
It's the same each week. We have the ball handling skill of an under 14s team. 4 tackles to Essendon's 11 so far despite getting tanned in the possession count. Wonder who wants it more? This club just doesn't give you hope right now and a new week doesn't seem to change that.

Win the football game tonight. Not dealing with losing to this team and giving their fans the added bonus of the future 1st.

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
Thank you for asking this question ATBOG because it was the first thing I thought after Friday night. How can a team, historically very fit and able to run out games, allow so many uncontested possessions and marks on a smaller ground? The gameplan is being pointed to and fair enough, but this wouldn't be the first time in history that a team as screwed up their fitness preparations. Not saying it's the reason for our poor form but I think all areas need to be questioned.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Wouldn't surprise me. Succession planning would have been in place, can't be doing these things on the fly.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Yeah the sensationalist comments need to be taken with salt. It's easy to say the game has passed us by, the more important issue is what are the other teams doing when they come up against us and how does our style stack up over a season. Follow the leader doesn't guarantee success and you can go back through time to see how often teams have tried to emulate others. It does have some merit but these people aren't asking the right questions I think.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
We need to find a way to beat Essendon. I dont care how. I'm not putting up with Essendon fans beating us and then gloating over the 1st rounder they have from us. No way, no how.

PODCAST: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I'd like to know this too. We get whacked in uncontested possessions and marks on a smaller ground. Is this down to fitness and work rate or structure? A lot is being said about where we are faulting with the ball but are we just as bad without it right now? We once had a very well drilled defensive zone system, have they tried to alter what they do without the ball too much as well as with it?

I love these kinds of Port jumpers. So much better than the usual garbage.

Over 60 Cats marks by defenders. Ouch.

I might be wrong but I see this as a thread to put questions to the guys to discuss on the show. There's plenty of other threads to question, refute and provide rebuttal to other people's posts.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Appreciate the positivity Go Lordie but they don't give premiership points for 'in with a chance' performances. We're in trouble now and have to face the music.

How many players have improved ?
Not to pot Tom Sparrow but he is the epitome of this question for me. Players you wanted to see take the next step since the flag but haven't.

On the downside though, a bit more time before the next loss would be nice.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
How can we be a fit side if we lose the uncontested marks nearly-80 and the same with uncontested possessions, on a small ground? We look unfit and like we're always lagging in a Zoom meeting and our skills being so garbage makes sense because of that.
