This game is probably going to come down to yards on the ground. Eagles lead despite having 25 passing yards.

Fair observation. More often than not at least 1 one seed team makes the superbowl each year so it does help to get that rest in especially if you're an older or banged up team. I also like the do or die nature of this playoff system where these games are the ones that you absolutely must perform in. Every now and then you do get some heartbreak stories like the Minnesota Vikings of 1998 who went 15-1 only to go down by 3 points in the NFC Championship game to the Falcons. A week off and home field advantage which would mean more in the NFL than AFL seems to be enough of an incentive I guess.

Thank god others feel the same. I felt like the world were all just becoming Kelcie-Swifty Mahomes losers and people not knowing anything about the sport jumping on the Chiefs train etc.

Yes and we know what those seasons were like. Peyton Manning is an undisputed legend but I remember so many big games in bad weather that he didn't perform in. It almost became an omen when the TV broadcast started and you'd see him warming up with the rain coming in sideways and cold as ice.
  5. Sounds like playing in that game scratches the go home itch enough, that's what I'm choosing to believe anyway. No need to leave the club.

I hate that place in the snow.
  7. No surprises there with the already huge initial costs blowing out. No-one saw that coming 😜 Hardly an expert in this area but I find it hard to get my head around the AFL demanding that they build a stadium to a certain level in order to have a team but then impose big fines to the Tas government if not half completed by Oct 2027 and completed by the 2029 season. With the Tassie government capping their commitment at $375 million they're going to have to sell quite a bit of land..
  8. Good prediction. Once he gets some kms in the tank he'll be ready to go.

I honestly think this game will be in the 1-6 category and a belter.
  10. His other uncle seemed pretty keen for him to commit to MFC. We'll see.

The Minnesota tackles aren't but the work from the guards and centre was amongst the worst I've seen. When your QB is sacked 9 times there's something wrong. Darnold has had a decent season and has proven himself for sure but for neutral tipping and betting purposes I'll take the other QB 🙂
  12. That's the attitude. Let's enjoy what we have while we have it and be successful.

He's quite mobile from what I've seen. Plus Gemini AI in Dr Google seems to think it was a sure thing!

Give me Stafford over Darnold in a playoff pick'em any time. The Rams D was absolutely ferocious in the first half. Vikings interior line just couldn't handle what was coming, it felt like Donald was playing! How far can they go? They'll likely be on the road for the duration so it could really bind them together.

Do you think Willis would have given you the best chance of winning Macca? I'm afraid you're right about the Eagles though. They're a scary defense no matter who is at QB.
  17. It all comes down to the way we rebound and transition the ball from the back in my view. We know what the personnel up forward is and I don't think that will change all that much, we know what kind of defence we play etc. Will we be able to rebound hard and counter the quickest possible way through the middle is what I'm looking for with the backs not sitting quite as high in case it comes back the other way.
  18. For a second I thought you meant unleashed to Maynard for doing such a thing!

100% Especially if it's nerve related, you literally have to just wait to get the feeling back.

I just don't think we were ever going to get the best version of Jordan Love this playoffs or the Packers for that matter. Those elbow injuries are no laughing matter, especially when you lose feeling in the throwing arm, nothing can replace rest in that situation. I can't decide whether it looked like Green Bay had hardly played together or had just played 3 days earlier in that game. Defense hung in but it got too much in the end. Plenty of positives, could use a corner and a pass rusher but have the cap room.
